The game was bad because IW didn't even want to make the dam game but activision made 'em do it.
They got screwed out of a huge chunk of money that they were promised for making the game, most of the heads of IW get fired, they sue. Respawn is born.
So old. And a lot to be untold.
Just look it up.

Tempted to buy this since it really does seem like they've fixed a lot of what was wrong with MW2 (Quickscoping with snipers and retarded killstreaks were the two big ones), but I dunno. It's either this, or the new Need for Speed coming out in a few weeks.

They fixed a sh'it ton.
OMA is gone. Scavenger doesnt replenish noobtubes.
No Commando, Danger close, tac knife.

Supposably tactical insertions (don't know why theyre still even in here) aren't given to you if you respawn off of one, but they come back after.
And killstreaks not stacking.

But if you have a shooter to keep you busy for a while, go for NFS.
Bad Company 2 is getting four new maps and vietnam soon.

SoH doesn't affect sniper rifles.
And the reticle isn't automaticaly centered when you scope in, s its not nearly as accurate.

I also like how drop shotting was dealt with (though it is barely noticeable if you're good.)

Same here. I haven't been paying much attention to Black Ops until just a few days ago. Now I'm really temepted to buy it but then I'd have to also renew my Xbox Live subscription.

The game could have been improved by doing one simple thing: updates. But this is not Halo, so the game rotted in peace beyond a few game breaking fixes... which came late. Ops might look like it fixed a lot of these issues, but if Treyarch cannot keep it up to date with frequent fixes, it will deteriorate too.

I know about legal issues with IW, but I have yet to hear anything about them dropping IW altogether. As I understood it, MW3 was on its way, albeit with some delays.

Treyarch isn't being harassed by Kotick I'm sure. And they actually liked to make this game, and they want to support it.
And MW 3 was on the way, but it wont be with nearly the same IW as before.
Sledgehammer is next anyways, and theyre still hiring.
