Holy pomegranate. I made a new world because I wanted a world with biomes, and the new world lags like hell for me. I have a REALLY bad computer, anyways, but before I could still get like 25+ FPS on tiny/fast, and now I get like 15 FPS in the new world. My other worlds are still good, though, I just don't really want to play them. :/

This new world is so cool, but laggy. D:

If Erich put up the server as it is and switched "hellworld" to true, we could have a normal server surrounded by Hell. Lul.

Supposedly, dying doesn't baleet your items. I've yet to try it out.

I died a bit ago, was able to pick up my items just fine, but it also patched before then, so it's likely been fixed by now. Or it could still affect the Nether World, since I haven't explored there yet.

FML. I got a skeleton to kill a creeper. Dropped the gold record, the one I need. I couldn't get to it in time and died trying to get out. There goes a record and at least now know there's a spawner somewhere.

He patched the item loss bug, guys.

Oh, PROTIP: Killing Ghasts pisses off the Pigmen zombies! FUN!

(Though I was somehow able to make it all the way back to my portal (which is a while away from my spawn) and to my stuff on Peaceful, so it wasn't too bad. Good to know that if you die in the Nether, your items aren't gone right away.)

ALL MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!

wtp? I made a gate to hell, I walked around a bit, and went back to my gate. I came out on a completely different place than where my original gate was constructed. How does that happen? I make one gate, enter, exit, and come out a completely different gate?

Yeah, happened to me too. I ended up a ways away from my original portal, but it was on the same y coordinate. Not sure what the dealio is, there.

I saw an excellent image that explains this, but the site crashed.

Imagine that the gate you make in the Real World has coordinates. The game tries to make a the second gate in the Nether using those coordinates. But the game defines it as unfit. "Unfit" could be anything from being over a sea of lava to being inside of a wall. The game then moves it to a 'fit' place. When you re-enter that portal, it creates a portal with the same coordinates in the Real World.

End result: Two portals in the Real world that both lead to the same portal in the Nether.

Now I have to wonder... if you hacked your Nether file to be solid block, where would your Nether portal spawn?

Makes sense. Thanks, Hazzy.

A bow.

No, seriously. They're super easy to kill if they're close enough. I've also heard that it only takes one hit from a diamond sword to kill them, but I didn't have mine on me the one time I was close enough to one to do so, since I didn't really have a reason to bring it.

oic. Funny thing is, my portal is in like a bowl. There's huge walls on either side. The only way out is to fall by dying. Meh.

So I just got this game yesterday. Could I join a server?

I should really construct something epic in Minecraft. You know, the kind of thing you stand back and admire. Bowser statue in the Nether is an idea i could do...
