Graphical Glitches
#1
Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:
It seems that the longer that my account is logged in, the higher the chance i have of getting graphical glitches like the one im about to post. The glitch will cause me to dc, and make my in-game windows invisible.

Try switching the in-game graphics every couple of minutes.

I've noticed this happening in JMS too. :S

I have noticed that glitch too, and noticed it when using Windows Vista/7 machines. I want to ask though, does other glitches happen like music not changing properly between maps, long loading times in between maps, and DCs-following entrance/exit of CS/MTS or Changing Channels?

Because it looks really similar to a common Windows Vista/7 glitch.

It's surprisingly easy to tell if this is a graphics card issue or a monitor issue.

When that comes up, print screen it. Put it in Paint and save it.

Re-view the image. If it looks like the original image, it's a graphics card problem. If it looks different, it's a monitor problem.

I.... doubt its a monitor issue. I think its probably just a mix between graphics card/windows 7 or something ._.

I had this problem earlier actually. (I run Vista)

To be honest these past few days the client has been running incredibly well on Vista and Windows 7. Me and guildies noticed that we were no longer D/Cing nearly as easily as before. We had been able to play for hours, accessing Cash Shop, CCing, changing characters, etc, all with no problems at all.

Personally however some time after the free NX event ended I started receiving some of the old glitches that were stated by Plasmablaster.

I get it on my Win7 machine. It happens after bossruns or when I have had shop up for a longer period of time.

I get a similar issue. Though, it happens only in certain occasions, such as when I'm in a crowded map (FM Entrance) for a long time or when I fight bosses with HP bars.

I also get the music not changing issue and the consequent slow loading between maps (only happens when the first one is occurring).

D/Cing happens too, but it's rarer.

I have Windows 7 64-bit.

I have something similar happen when I've been on for like 60 hours with my shop mule in the FM and my pc runs short of memory. Its quite funny seeing just eyes moving around or entering my shop. lol

Well I can say I've been having it as recently as the past few minutes. Not really good when I'm trying to train in an area and it starts to glitch like crazy. I've tried to look at what might be wrong, but as far as I can tell all problems seem to be caused by maple. Most of the other games I've got on my laptop do not bug out in being completely unstable for a few minutes. So where I'm thinking is it is maple trying to make certain calls; for unavailable resources that were available in earlier versions of Windows. I don't know where the problem is; but all I can do is hypothesize the possible causes with little knowledge of the engine code.
