Things to do before Big Bang

Brandish 20 (which turns into Brave Slash 20) was really hard for me to find once Big Bang came out in KMS. I think Brandish 20 is pretty rare even before Big Bang though...

Does this mean that if we have Brandish 30 already we will have Brave Slash 30 after Big Bang already? This was a worry for me because other classes would already have their main attacking skill because it had not changed.

Also, is Combat Mastery 20/30 a fairly common book?

Wait what? Why would this happen? As far as I know Aran books still drop from Zakum (unfortunately). Besides, zakum will be piece of cake after BB, no?.

Only skillbooks drop from zakum post-bb. Mastery books from pianus, pap, and zakum are all removed.

All self-buffs turned to 1.2x, party 2x was removed entirely (no party 1.2x), but Family Bonding changed to 1.5x. Family Bonding is the highest exp buff kmsers can get aside from events.

Unless Nexon get's Nuked you won't be losing 2x cards when Big Bang comes around.

I was thinking that higher level 3-lined shields will be better than the current wa20 shield and thought of selling off my shield for some cash before potential hits msea.

It's dropped a bit due to potential. o_O I remember 16atk shields being 200~300m more than it currently is before we got potential.

High leveled 3-lined shields will be better than 20 attack shields depending on it's level. If it's a maple shield either the low level or the high level one would get curb stomped by either a 71+ or 121+ shield.

As for everything else, I think I've said it in a similar thread to this, but there really isn't much to prepare for Big Bang. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

interim report: There is a logistical problem for obtaining large amounts of MBs and weapons/equip. The former requires 1 consume slot for each MB (which is sold for less than 100k, virtually free) so even if I make a new account and use all 7 char slots, that's 7 x 28 (=196) MBs per ID. I'm not sure if it's worth creating dozens of mule IDs to store hundreds of (currently) worthless MBs (unless some of them are guaranteed to skyrocket in price; FM info from KMS post-BB will be very helpful). Equipment is very hard to assess as potential hasn't really settled into the fabric of JMS economy yet (potential was introduced last month) and prices wildly fluctuate even now. I undersold a visitor belt by 100m today because prices shot up in the past week. So far I got 6 skill books (chain hell, advanced charge, flame wheel, dark fog, final slash and final blow) which cost less than the meso equivalent of karma scissors right now. I'll start doing solo pap runs saturday.

True, but not easily.

Going by the fact that a clean 3% str cape gave me almost exactly the same damage as a 4 attack PAC, I figure I would need a 15% STR unscrolled shield to replace a 20 attack one. Or a combination, say scrolled for 8 attack and cubed for 9% STR, or scrolled for 12 attack and cubed for 6% str. Possible, but not easy/cheap.
So, an already existing 20 attack shield is still quite valuable. But if one were going to create a new attack shield, a high level one might be a better starting point because it can, with plenty of money and luck, become much stronger.

Which brings me back to my first question, whether it'll be worth it to sell off the 20 attack shield for cash to cube items in the future, - if the price will fall by that time.

the price of it right now is the highest it will be. im not saying it's going to deflate because nobody can see the future, but it will certainly not inflate. i know in Broa theres a 23atk shield that's been sitting in a shop for 1.7 not sold with an offer of 1.5 for over a week.
