Things to do before Big Bang
#1
Title says it all. Is there things I should buy/sell? Mastery books, skill books, equips, etc. Also should I finish difficult quests that I haven't completed yet? Anything else that could be done for big $$$ post-BB?

I would be more than happy to try it out myself Poast I can risk a few hundred million mesos right now (JMS is in a hyperinflation due to meso farming by hackers).

(P.S. I have tons of leftover Visitor weapons/equipment, should I sell them off immediately or wait till BB?

If you really love the sense of adventure the large maps, long walk ways, and the way the towns look now(*COUGH ELLINIA COUGH*) Better start taking pictures=\ Thats the number 1 thing I DETEST about Big Bang. The land masses were shifted so much, the maps are so small. Doesn't feel like an adventure anymore=\.

Assuming leveling from 1 - 12x is as easy as some people make it out to be after new BB curve.

Theoretically.
After BB > Easier leveling > Moar high level people> Increased high level gear demand > price increase for high level gear.

Theoretically. Low level gear (WG's, saunas etc) should have lost some value after Potential System and should further lose value after the new exp curves comes in.

Theoretically. The increase of players during BB should increase the demand of a lot of items on the market for the first month or so. So theoretically, it should be more profitable to sell high level stuff after BB hits your Maple. Whether low level gear will retain it's current price range or increase/decrease will depend on the activity of Maple after BB and will depend on whether or not that influx of players will care about increasing their character's power for a short term (may not apply to insanely good low level equips).

No idea about Mastery/Skill books. I could swear the books are easier to obtain after BB, but that's just speculation from glanced information I've gathered out of this site from the last few months. I also believe Skill books are not needed anymore since you get all your skills after you advance. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

Besides trying to predict your own economic future, obtaining gear before prices starts getting crazy (if they already aren't) and going down the memory lane taking screenshots of stuff (like SwordStaker) there's really not much to do before BB. Even leveling seems like a waste if you don't enjoy the grind right now.

PS: Take my comment with a bowl of salt.

Some skillbooks will be insanely hard to get.
I have yet to find any Snipe 20 or Pierce 20 in FM at KMS (havent checked the past few weeks)

At the beginning of BB, SE 20 and 30 were difficult to obtain but not necessarily expensive. The wild hunters came out and they inflated like crazy.
But anywho check out the drop list here and you find out what skillbooks will inflate. Keep in mind what Alex123123 said. Lots of 120s will rise, most wont be able to kill 140+ monsters yet they those are the only monsters that drop certain skills.

Every book normally dropped by zakum, pianus, or papulatus will be inflated.

Do you know any mobs off the top of your head that are 140+, drop skillbooks, and aren't commonly trained on? Or do most maps become good for training, so it just becomes a matter of levels being important?

Go get your Quest specialist medal if you're close.

Maple Hero 20 may be a good one to buy and resell. I hear it drops from Blue and Red Dragon Turtles after Big Bang.

Brandish 20 (which turns into Brave Slash 20) was really hard for me to find once Big Bang came out in KMS. I think Brandish 20 is pretty rare even before Big Bang though...

At least we still have private servers if we want to play through the old ways.

The entire quest book doesn't get wiped.

Maybe theyll go back up in value but mobs will start dropping the lv110 armors so maybe not. Stocking up on MORE elixirs from Nibelung before this comes in case I have to redo the quests to fight it.

Ah yes the monster card requiring medals would be impossible to get unless they changed the quests.

Don't think they did because it would be somewhat impossible to change it. Plus I haven't heard anything about it after Big Bang hit.

Btw, is it true that glaze and blaze capsules won't be needed after Big Bang for the full damage on Ice Splitter and Flamethrower?
