Erich, I may not be playing there for the moment, but with the Halloween update on the horizon, I'd advise changing the doorways to city-hall to something other than obsidian.

Map was angled perfectly so that my valley was hidden by the tops of the hills surrounding it. Another warning. Someone who was exploring with me the 1st or 2nd day found a cave via sea travel and had a warp placed to it. Make sure that warp is deleted when you shrink the map.

Also, I know a certain pyro's new favorite block.

I thought about this. But, as long as no one LIGHTS THE DOORWAY ON FIRE we're good. Plus, i'm going to install doors in there some day. Which will block the fire. lulz.

A "house" isn't such a good idea. More like a small tunnel. If it's too large, Ghasts can spawn in it...

I'm talking about making a building small enough to keep ghasts out so you can ready yourself for Hell.

If the area around the spawn is still protected from adding or deleting blocks, then I do not think it would be possible for any non-admin to make a portal in City Hall.

A "house" isn't such a good idea. More like a small tunnel. If it's too large, Ghasts can spawn in it...

As it currently works, mobs cannot spawn within 24 blocks of you. They cannot spawn on half blocks and glass. I do not know how much, if at all, Notch will change the spawning algorithm after the update / in Hell, but a 3-5 tall obsidian box with Half steps as the floor should be spawn-proof. In theory. Testing might be needed.

i have no clue anymore. when i first log on today, i see my main storage chest got kerfuffled for lack of a better word, and where before i only had 64 and 16 mossy cobble blocks, i wound up with 64 x 10, and 38 mossy cobble.

and at the time of my writing this: every single item in this chest is now at 64. what. the. fu'ck? o-o

For sure. I really hope it's integrated a little better than in that video. Going from snow to desert within 1 tile makes it kinda weird.[/COLOR]

I am kind of disappointed. I was hoping that they would be much larger and have very different looks and feels. I was also hoping for rain and snow to fall. I would also like to see if there is any kind of continent formation, or if the game still generates water randomly. I would love a one or two thousand wide ocean that gets as deep as 50 blocks, personally.

Maybe in a later release.

The sunset thing is still pretty cool.
