I've got 2 drops in 2 days after posting on here. This thread must be my lucky charm (actually changing channels was our way out of the funk).

I've mostly been doing guild runs, we're doing 2-3 a night now that more people are interested.

It's amazing how little you need to bring if you have competent players.

Last night's run I was in:
162 Night Lord
152 Paladin
148 Corsair
147 Night Lord (probably the best geared/statted of the party)
(147 NL with worse gear d/c'd early on)
121 Dark Knight

The bomb stage was by far the hardest. But eventually we got it. Corsair & Paladin froze the middle and bottom so the NL & DrK could attack them effectively, while the higher HP NL (he also has 950+ avoid) took the top. The middle went down first (it's easier to mob) so 4 people were taking on the bottom platform together.

That's wayyyy too many people for the PQ. Not trying to show off or anything but I can solo the bomb stage with ~20 secs left before respawn. It's really all about organization over dps here because death=15+ sec lost per char. I also cleared two platforms at the same time to maximize venom's effect (powerful ones). None of your members should be using 1v1 skills btw to ensure all mobs die around the same time. Also stay in 1 dimension together, most deaths occur from 2 dimensions being killed at same time.

Edit: The point I was trying to make is not to clear all 3 plats (same dimension) at the same time like how you described. Instead work together at the same time so everyone moves all at once.

I dunno how Venom works really but it didn't seem to do much except pop up the occasional ~25k blue numbers on the yellow aliens. Which I think is less than the 30-40ks ACB and Avenger were doing.

I think you're underestimating the usefulness of DPS though, the NL & I clearing the middle platform (killing 4 mobs) was the fastest and took about 20 seconds per side. There wouldn't be enough time for us to do all 3 layers, especially with the extra effort it takes for my Paladin to even get the bottom mobs into a single group to attack.

I run usually with 3-4 Member max.
Bomb stage is hard when u dont have an AM and go with 3 ppl.

Well i was also in different Channels every PQ.
Result of the last six PQs

Chair
Chair
Chair
Chair
Nothing
Nothing

Btw guys how long do u need to finish the whole PQ aprox?

Even with organization, without dps or certain classes you're screwed. I bring my fp as a mule on my duo runs to clear a few stages but if we really tried, we prolly could handle bomb stage (shad + sair). Sometimes parties need to compose of more people because they're lacking in DPS. Only downside is there are less splits per person if an item drops.

Before my duo runs, my party was me, a hero, and an MM all with excellent potentials/gears and on average we finished at 3:10~3:25 mark. We had very good coordination and organization, but that was 3 people

Now my friend's party run has an ice mage solo the room, and all she does is blizzard both rooms and can solo it. So they only need 1 person. While we take 2 more people [for that stage], there are different classes and each has an advantage over another in this stage.

I can solo the bomb stage with no problems. It's actually easier to clear it if I'm soloing because I don't risk dying. Fire Demon and Mist one side, Mist the other side, wait for about 30 seconds, Meteor one side, Meteor the other. Most of the difficulty comes from avoiding the exploding bombs and paying attention to all 12 monsters on both sides of the map is pretty difficult.

We can run with 3 people but we usually take 5 anyway.

I didn't realize everyone was running with so many people.

We're running 3 (db,drk,nl) with one of those who dcs about 50 percent of the time.
I find the pq to be much easier with fewer people. There are a few stages that are actually more of a hassle with more people around, bomb stage just becomes a cluster pineapple if you aren't organized and the jumping one has the potential to take a while. Plus the wait time to get going is much smaller, no need to wait on various people to get done with what they are doing.

Of course the cuts are much bigger as well, and a close knit group means no fighting over who will want to claim a particular drop instead of selling it.

Do you guys not get how useful an Aran is?

I usually go with...

Me 168 hero
190 hero
168 drk
174 Aran
Sometimes a Corair who can take hits, and if we are looking for exp from the last boss a bishop.

Aran's tempest lets you do the bomb stage in under a minute, he just needs to do tempest and you win.

We've been going about 5 times a week since v90, we had been getting nothing but air and chairs until wednesday when we got a VIP Spear, nothing since yet.

It is mostly a matter of providing all the useful functions without certain classes present. We just don't have high level Aran/AMs to take care of the bomb stage, so freeze/stun & dps is the only way to clear them. The bomb and the cleric stage are the only ones we fail, so more party members are along to raise DPS to the point where we don't just fail out of the PQ trying to do those 2 stages. With a mostly 14x-15x party, none of whom are using unique equips, it's not that easy to clear the stages.

I do understand the need, I guess I was more shocked co-operation exists to get it done.
With how easily something as simple as cwkpq can go awry I couldn't imagine some of the frustration that could exist with vpq. I guess I just don't have the most faith in taking a group of people and having them all keep their heads within a long process, even if they are guildies. Like you mentioned they all do have their place so each person that you lose is a big blow to the group.

Needing both threaten + HB to get the lower leveled ranged characters into play without being 1hko'd is definitely a handicap, lol. Lotus is fairly good about organization though. And I'm really fitting into the secondary or even tertiary party - when the 18x+ guildies are on they do their own faster run. I know last Sunday we did 3 successful runs, with a couple guild members running on alts plus outside help (EmilWarrior).

In my 2 VPQ runs I can truly say it's a very nice to help to have an FP/Aran/Class with poison. Besides the obvious bomb stage, all other normal stages benefit from having an AM: Elquines freeze, FD freeze, seal, slow, paralyze all help making the PQ faster.

Besides the bomb stage, the only other challenging stage is the blaze wizard stage (or speedy if no one can take a hit). That one does need some teamwork and focus. Me and my partner failed a few times if we don't focus on the blaze wiz after it's healing when we work on mobs.

You just got very bad luck i guess xD Outta 9 pq's so far only once I've never gotten an item. Though i've gotten countless amounts of shields (6. ^^") Though i must say i love the pq. Gross income has been about 7-8bil in the past 2 weeks or so. Though it gets all split up but its such great income compared to many other ways. Only downside is needing a good amount of % gear or just high leveled

Just wondering, went to vpq twice so far, one time with one db, and next one with 3 other dbs, both times the whole party dc'ed at bomb room, is there anything that triggers a map dc or something, any skills or buffs? Thanks in advance if anyone seems to know.

Flash Bang might have caused it.
