Other than using it on the Wii, I've never touched it. I don't really have plans to touch any other browsers than IE now, especially since most websites I visit require Internet Explorer anyway.

I wanted to embrace IE9 and bask in all of its newfound greatness, but then the installation failed and I started getting those annoying cryptic error messages. pineapple that. Even if I take your word for IE9's speed, Chrome still looks better, doesn't eat away at my screen real estate, supports the extensions I can't live without, and loads relatively fast compared to what Firefox has become.
Maybe the stable release will be better.

I have never had any problems with Chrome. Chrome loads way faster than any other browser for me, and is much more organised/clean/looks better.

ITT: Browser Wars
Opera is a lolbrowser. Chrome is for... iunno. Speedaddicts? People with slow computers? Firefox is for people who like mass add-ons, open source, or people who have lots of memory to burn (new computers). IE is for people using Asian websites (because they are behind) or for people over 30 that think the Internet is a series of tubes. Or Windows hoars. Firefox comes with Ubuntu, Chrome is weird to install, no one uses Opera, and IE is Windows exclusive. Just my take on things.

I don't know what is wrong with your Chrome.
I don't use "official chrome" release, I only use beta nightly builds, like my current version for both win7 and linux Chromium 7.0.532.0 (60192) and using the option -enable-accelerated-compositing for GPU acceleration. You can try it here: http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/ good luck.

Good. No one has even mentioned Safari. Everything (even IE) > Safari.

Hazzy Wrote:ITT: Browser Wars Opera is great because it comes with just about all the most useful plugins built in. It has very good memory management, and has speeds that are just as good or better than the other browsers. My system is terribad and Chrome and Firefox always crash on me. Opera has crashed only a few times, and I had severely taxed my system each time. The only reason for me to use another browser is for Tor. It is just easier to Tor in Firefox.
