Behold, TMS's Lie detector, as Asiasoft calls it.
I honestly had no idea what letter is that so I guessed it in, and it was wrong. Fortunately, I got the second chance with new picture. Otherwise I'd be autobanned by now.
And IYO, what letter is that?

Several guesses come to mind: It could be a 'W', a 'V', uppercase 'I', lowercase 'L', an 'H'...
Just curious, did the next code have 5 letters or 6?

Is this always a fixed-length string?

Does this test come up randomly, or does it mean someone tagged you as suspicious?
What if you happened to be afk on a rope while you went for dinner or something and this came up? Could get banned for nothing. I sure hope GMS never gets this.

well you can't really guess the letter cause it could be almost all of them since the letters can be rotated

It came out in GMS a few years back (when Omega Sector came out), but was removed due to abuse.

It also can appear during training and questing in KMS iirc.
I really hope this doesn't find its way to gMS, I can see it fucking me up big time.

It most likely won't happen. It was removed once. I don't think NA is dumb enough to release them again. (But then again, they rereleased them with Kerning Square and removed them.)

It doesnt freeze up your movement, but if you dont solve it within the time limit (if you fail the first one, you get a second one) you get sent back to the nearest town. Recently in kMS, if you have failed many of them, you can get banned.

According to EllinForest, the image has Korean letters in KMS. In JMS we get it in the Dojo and if someone uses a macro detector on you. You get sent to the nearest town but never banned. Theoretically they could MPK you but since they're so rare, it hasn't been a problem in years.

I started Jan 07, so I wasn't playing while Lie Detectors were around, but I don't think this is same thing. That was used by players, this is located in minidungeons and Mu Lung Dojo(in kMS).

Players can buy Lie Detectors in shops as well, and use them on others if they are in a map with monsters and they are attacking.
