I looked at todays new topics on the internet, BusinessWeek has a topic "Facebook Sells Your Friends". I didnt really do too much digging, there is plenty of controversy over "how private is your information on Facebook".

I personally dont really trust Zuckerberg anyway. Back in May of this year, Instant Messages surfaced from when Facebook first started popped up of Mark Zuckerberg saying:

"Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard

Zuck: Just ask.

Zuck: I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS

[Redacted Friend's Name]: What? How'd you manage that one?

Zuck: People just submitted it.

Zuck: I don't know why.

Zuck: They "trust me"

Zuck: Dumb fucks."

Quoted from here.

It seems you just want to butt heads Roxas. Whatever, thats fine. Go ahead and like your Facebook and like your IE9 and whatever. I just wont have to put up with your fanboy crap anymore. I didnt think that someone could actually irk me enough on the internet, but CONGRATULATIONS! You are the first person that I am putting on my Ignore List.

oh no please dont

iam so sorry

butterfλi Wrote:I think the problem here is: you guys need friends on FB that aren't sluts and whores. That'll fix your "lame status updates" (which you can disable getting feeds from a person so I don't know why you're nagging about that in the first place).

Make better IRL friends, guys.

anti-social, and dont use the FB account i have for anything other than to have it.

To me a forum is where a person stands up and presents something, and others discuss it, and the opener may or may not comment on the comments made. this is going back to the ancient roman setting of the Forum.

social networking is where a group of people gather and all of them present an idea and everyone comments on it.

that dynamic where 1 -v- many is where i see the difference between a forum and a social networking site.

Roxas Wrote:Maybe your friends, but I'd definitely rather chat with my friends on facebook rather than the people on here.

I talk to my friends face to face or over the phone. I have no need to keep in contact with a bunch of silly gooses from high school/church/college/elsewhere that I lost touch with.

And it doesn't really change the fact that it's lame. You enjoy talking with people on Facebook, that's fine. Some people enjoy talking with people on Southperry, that's fine too. What both these things have in common however is that they're both the same kind of lame bulls'hit just with different coatings of paint.

Im pretty sure mark fixed it ASAP, hes richer than Steve Jobs already...

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Donates $100 Million To Fix Newark New Jersey Public Schools

Mark Zuckerberg is richer than Steve Jobs

Quote:Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has shot up the list in recent years. He is now sitting pretty at number 35, with a personal fortune of $6.9 billion (around £4.41 billion).
Facebook is now valued at around $23 billion (around £14.7 billion), which is three times last year's estimate.
Notably, Zuckerberg is now richer than Steve Jobs, who is ranked at number 42 on this year's Forbes 400 list, with a personal fortune of a 'mere' $6.1 billion, most of which comes from his stocks in Disney, rather than Apple.

Mark is a sellout, Steve cannot sell out even if he wanted to.
