When BB comes to GMS...
#1
What changes do you think that Nexon will make(if any) to BB when it comes to GMS? Like will it come in two patches instead of 3? Maybe 4? Or maybe they will chop it up like, re-vamped skills, exp curve all separate? I know something I am dreading is NX skill books. As much as I don't think we will get them because come on, evan it was ok because evan sucked. DB is was ok because KMS had nx skill books for DB. But three new classes all at the same time? There would be massive rage/rage quiting. Also how many bugs do you think there will be? 10? 50? 100?

chances are we'll get it in 2 - 3 patches. one with the overall changes and the other with resistance (which can possibly be split into two separate patches itself for mechanic but that doesn't make a lot of sense so my money is on 2 patches total)

There will probably be a lot of rage-quitting no matter what happens with BB. That said, I think that GMS will probably go through the BB about the same way KMS did.

Probably 2
-Revamp
-Resistance

As for bugs, not so much I mean, they must have been testing this for a good time, and if im right there will be a tespia session for it.

I expect majority of the rage quitting to be Mages / Bishops of sorts.
Regardless, I expect 2-3 patches as well. Of course the first one will be the major revamp and I bet the second will be all of Resistance together.

Myself as a mage, I have kind of stopped playing my mage for now. I'll be back when BB hits, for now I'm just doing item hunting, money gathering and mastery books.

I'm playing even less because I'm getting very active socially here in France (woo)

I think BB will probably come in 2 patches as well. Also, I really don't see there being that many bugs in it because its been tested a lot.

Also, no way... you still play this game?

I still remember some of your smegas on christmas day from back when I was in Windia in like 06 and I remember seeing you on maple-world all the time as well.

That's what I've done for the most part. I'm doing the visitor event on my mage, but after that my I/L mage is going to be inactive. I might try to level it up one more time before BB though. When the new curve is implemented, your current EXP supposedly gets reduced to make your % stay the same as it was before the change. It makes sense to level up and go into BB with an empty EXP bar.

Yeah, I still play. Not as much as I used to, but I still play.

That's the funniest thing I've ever read in a lot of time.

No, really, I expect it being one of the most bugged patches EVER.

There will be A LOT of changes and since GMS ISN'T KMS, and the LOTS of changes will have to mesh with OUR content (such as World Tour and Masteria), they'll need to change a lot of stuff in those areas, else some monsters will be broken EXP-wise (the new formulae make it a MUST to change the level, EXP, attack etc. of the monsters in the exclusive areas and world tour) and in several other ways. If they won't do it, it'll be a huge problem (hello BigFoot dealing max. 1700 touch damage?).

So yeah. The changes will be massive, and unless the Nexon Korea team does it for the other versions, we most likely will have SEVERAL bugs to deal with. Because, yeah, we all know that their development team is a lot more experienced than ours, being the creators of the game and the main content releasers for all MapleStory versions.

That's why I'm TOTALLY expecting several Tespia rounds for that, and we'll most likely have several tens of bugs to report.

Because of the reasons stated above, I don't even expect them to release Big Bang anytime soon. Maybe it'll be even later than end of year. If it is before, I'll be impressed of how fast they were able to translate and implement everything correctly. That is, if there won't be the huge amount of bugs I'm expecting there will be.

I really hope they will be smart and open Tespia for that because if they won't.. that'll be their one of their worst moves ever for sure. As I said on their forums, not opening Tespia for Big Bang would probably be a disaster for the game, with their current tester staff.

I agree with most of that, besides the translation part. They don't really have much to translate besides skills. A lot of it is just making sure that everything is changed correctly.

If you count Edelstein and Resistance (Wild Hunter, Battle Mage and Mechanic) as Big Bang (and they ARE part of it), that's still a lot of stuff to translate.

If you only refer to the first part, then yeah, you're right.

I think it'll be ~6 patches. One for BB, one for Resistance, four for bug fixes.

according to their developer's blog, that translating is SO FRUCKIN HARD it will take them forever to do it.

I figure it'll be like KMS, except with more NX involved.

I think they'll rename the patch.

(the name "Big Bang" is popular in Korea but not in the rest of the world)

I bet they will keep it just so they can use it in
