Limiting input like that blocks out a lot of people who would report bugs but don't play because of how many bugs there are in the official server. If they actually want real testers, which I doubt, they should put a 16 or 18 year age limit on accounts as well was a "have you logged in in the past x days". Then not tell anyone. We don't need 500+ new 25 year old accounts. ._.

A lot of people do lie, but not everyone. And yes, age does = maturity. There are exceptions just like any rule, but it is a very strong correlation when talking generals. See: Basil - average age 13ish vs SouthPerry - average age 16+.

Eh, maybe it's just me; I've run into an astonishing amount of remarkably immature people as old or older than myself in real life.

I couldn't care less about getting into Tespia. I also know I won't be invited anyway, because I don't log in enough to qualify. I don't see why anyone would really want to get into Tespia at all, unless they really wanted to test bugs. I mean, videos and screenshots will be released, so everyone's going to know what's coming out in the next patch, and playing things before they're released is overrated. I'd rather wait until the patch actually comes out, without the bugs and everything.
