I've had enough of writing long threads, so I want to keep this short. Years I've been a member of Southperry, and months I've been a moderator, but not anymore. Southperry and Southperry moderation has potentially cost me the best friend I've ever had, and he is worth to me more than 10 fold what this site ever will be. I may post a little, I may not. Maybe I'll just lurk. But I will not be the same as I once was. Without my best friend around, Southperry will just serve as a constant reminder of how much I miss him, and how badly I treated him.

My problem isn't that Rick infracted me. I am completely fine with Rick infracting me so long as the infraction is justified. My problem with Rick's infraction is that it overrides two clear-cut rules and his only real justification for it is "discretion", which isn't really a rule.

In any case, the instructions I left on Rick's user messages were precise. I guess this is my goodbye thread more than Rick's, because I just want nothing more to do with a forum on which half of my serious posts are considered trolling and when trolling accusations have become so rampant that even Rick has become convinced that I am a troll.

I expect Rick to stay here and enjoy the forum that he cares about. I would never tell him to destroy his own accomplishments or status, nor would I tell him to leave what he loves. He's already so limited in what he can do anyways. I feel bad for saying that there's not much else for him other than SouthPerry, but it's the truth.
