windows 7 64 bit, freezing up entirely when maple is left idle
#1
Has anyone had a problem with the computer freezing up entirely if maple is left minimized and idle? I recently reformatted and did a clean install of windows 7 and having this problem. It's kind of annoying since i can't leave shop up and all. I had this listed in my event viewer. "A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (Global MapleStory)." Is there any way to prevent my computer from freezing up when maple is just idle?

You could disable the Desktop Windows Manager before AFKing, all it does is produce those shiny effects anyway and take up a small chunk of memory.

The closest thing I have had to this is having my computer hibernate in windowed/minimized mode shutting down the client.

This is probably a result of MS being A) Incompatible with Windows 7. B) On top, there's no native 64bit version. I don't think turning off Aero will help, but you could try. Just switch to the Basic theme.

I will try that out. I never had this problem before with windows 7 which is quite odd...

my maple works fine on idle. I get dc'd every once in a while, but i'm not on often enough to notice. What i dislike though is the fact that windows mode likes to dysfunction every now and then. the window randomly teleports (for lack of a better word) from the center of my screen to the top right hand corner. I assume that's a window's 7 thing. If they'd just copypasta'd Nexon Korea's client, it would be perfectly fine by now. I run 32 bit Win 7 btw.

Rnadom dc's are common for me. especially at boss runs >.> I can't make mesos boss running if i get DC'd everytime i go. DC= unreliable pc = no accept to boss runs= no mesos= me poor.
