question is this: does anyone here have any songs they listen/have listened to that have or still resonate with you, whether its something thats going on in life, an ideal that you hold dear, or something you've gone through or hope to go through?

id have to look through multiple playlists saved up across the place, but one that i listened to religiously that just fit how i was in high school so damned well that, well, it drove me to tears when i first heard it when it was over.

its hard to find one that i find that fits me now, mostly because of various situations, but this one very nicely fits how i feel i need to deal with people, both in general and a few in specific mention:

i like this one because of my utter disdain for dealing with people over the phone. i hate it because i like to use my hands to help me elaborate my thoughts when they get jumbled. over the phone that option is kinda killed as sure its nice on my end, but on the other end all the other person'd hear is "uh uh uhm uhhh.."


dunno about any songs that deal with honesty and honor. =\ if i did i'd add those here. but alas my knowledge of music is limited.

this song, when i listen to it, takes me down into spring. no matter when i listen to it, it takes me back to when i first heard it and how it reminded me of taking a picturesque drive down a long road during the early afternoon one day when i was off from work. it was a nice day, the temp was perfect (76 farenheit with a crisp air that carried a nice breeze), and it was a peaceful way to spend the day. really was great, and i connect this song to that memory whenever i listen to it, and oddly it opens my sinuses when i hear it. maybe to try and resmell that spring wind.


and this one... the chorus and some of the lyrics more than anything pretty much fit how i am romantically. when i am, that is.

Well I do have songs that I like, but I try not to let anything "resonate in me" since I have absolutely terrible taste in music (or anything, for that matter), and letting a song mean anything to me seems like...I dunno how to describe it, but it seems like I'd just be setting myself up for failure of some sort. >_>

Song's originally sung by Hatsune Miku, and the video below is a cover by Choucho- which also fortunately happened to be subbed. I really love this song: both the cover and original, but in my opinion, Choucho gives it a really nice touch. Usually, I never really listen to this song with subtitles convinient for me to understand the lyrics, but that's fine with me anyways. Lyrics go through one ear, and out the other when I'm listening to music. I usually just pay attention to how I feel when I listen to my music- so being in another language doesn't really bug me. And boy, this song is amazing. It really strikes me with a certain feeling of strength and a sort of uplifting energy as well as a sort of sadness, and Choucho's voice really accents it. Just listening to this song helps me move forward in life and still be able to hold on despite the emotional downs in my life.

I really love this song. It feels somewhat surreal in the quieter moments and then really gets me pumped at some of the stronger, louder moments. I enjoy the fast pace of the drums, and I fell in love with the progression of the chords from the very first time I played this song in Rock Band 2. A song that makes me feel just awesome inside every time I listen to it.

One of my favorite rap songs. It has memorable, strong lyrics and an amazing instrumental track with violins and a good beat. The lyrics aren't quite what resonate with me, but it's a song that feels like it comes straight from the heart and it gets me in a reflective state- enjoyable no matter what.

I know this song inside out. I did mention that I don't always pay attention to the actual lyrics that much, but the lyrics for this song are just really interesting and it's always fun to sing along to this song. It really resonates with the emotional ups and downs that I feel throughout my life. Usually a song I listen to on a long, lonely walk back home; or when I'm feeling pretty bad.

I discovered this song through /jp/ radio one day this summer. If I had to give a simple explanation of why this song really gets to me, I'd have to say that it's because this song fills me with the true essence and source of punk rock music: PASSIONATE HEARTS.
