I agree, it is way more flexible. Vanilla raiding was terrible.

There were however, a few elements of Wrath that I didn't like. Things felt too easy. I never had to use crowd control, EVER. From what beta players of Cataclysm say, you need to learn how to use crowd control and kiting again.

Burning Crusade says hi to CC. I think the problem was finding a balance in CC-ing, because in BC crowd control was serious business that not having CC was often suicide. Good to hear Cata is bringing back CC. I remembered before I quit WoW due to school that I was telling a 71-72 party to CC a group of mobs because I didn't think we could handle them, and they gave me a laugh that I actually remembered about CC-ing.

Rather funny since Heroic PP is supposed to be harder than Heroic Sindra, but I guess the 25% and 30% buffs rather switched it around. My guild is only 9/12 H right now and we are doing far better on PP than Sindra by a long shot. I can only imagine the same pain we'll be going through as you did for Heroic Sindra lol

We down putricide after only 2 nights of trying. We kill him in only 1 or 2 tries now. Sindy is just a peach though.

Every single boss in ICC we can 1-shot but sindy..... man i hate sindy.

I'm sure I could do a lot higher but I slow the blood beasts for the raid. I have 2 other daggers with crippling that I swap to when the adds come out. 100 energy for 2 FoK and the loss in damage from swapping daggers.

Wow it looks like a few people are carrying everyone else. The rest of the raid's DPS is hella low. With a 30% buff there really isn't an excuse for not pulling at least 11k. Unless of course you're really really bad. And 3 mutilate rogues? One of you guys should go combat for the 4% damage debuff. Like that hunter who pulled the lowest. You'd think he'd do a lot higher considering his gear, but if you look closer - he's below the hit cap by 2%, he's using a stam gem in his leggings, and he doesn't have a nightmare tear anywhere. He's an engineer but isn't using flexweave underlay on his cape. And then he got himself bitten first on Bloodqueen when he should have been misdirecting to the tank. I can't believe you guys actually gave sharpened twilight scale to this guy.

AND IF I COULD JUST GET SHADOWVAULT SLAYER'S CLOAK TO DROP!!!! It's like a 300 dps upgrade according to the spreadsheet. 15 heroic gunship kills and ZERO slayer cloaks.

Yeah, I completely understand what you mean. Group 2, aka the main melee group, we make fun about the 30% buff and we keep saying how it's carrying us really heavily. For BQL, Hunters are usually at the low end of the bite order, but he decided to go all out and screw the order up, but we were able to recover. Also guild goes based on a DKP system, rather irritating sometimes, but I just brush it off. Despite the problems the guild has, I stick with them. I just wanted to see the endgame content, whether we beat it or not. if I was aiming for a GOOD progressing guild, I would've left long ago.

I understand that you want to see end game stuff but your guild could progress easier and down things easier if you critique each other. I know our guild leader is like a genius when it comes to all the classes. He points out every flaw he sees and makes sure you know it. He kinda rubbed off on me and that's how I could see so many things wrong with that hunter in your guild. If you critiqued everyone in your guild to optimize their character it would go a long way.

Like when we're looking through guild apps we make sure they provide a screenshot of their Ui and a WoL. No invite without those at least. You should see my guild leader just go through WoLs and armories with a fine tooth comb. Its pretty impressive. I remember when I applied he was talking to me about my envenom buff up-time, my choice to get fleet footed, and my choice of gems.

I understand what your getting at and it seems really easy, but i tried doing this(getting people to gem/enchant/spec correctly) and its just not as easy as it should be. The biggest facepalm was the druid healer who wouldnt take...rotface healing mace, with the heal proc(forget the name), because she would lose 40 odd spirit by replacing her old weapon. f7

I have to agree that in order to consider your application we need to at minimum see a log from an ICC 25 pug. We don't want to waste our time or yours (in addition to your 25 dollars) in having you transfer over and not live up to our expectations. You are also fairly undergeared for Heroic Lich King, so we need a log to demonstrate that you can perform adequately.

Also your key bindings concern me a bit. Your frost strike, obliterate, and howling blast are bound to 9, 0, and - assuming you use wasd to move it seems impossible that you can hit these buttons while moving. Furthermore, you should probably have things like mind freeze, icebound, ams, and unbreakable armor hotkeyed instead of clicking them.

I believe you should be gemming strength/haste instead of strength/crit in yellow sockets. Along that same line your cloak should be enchanted with haste instead of agility.

Currently I've done 10/12 on 25 man and 12/12 10 man. I have also done 7/12 heroic 10 man before my guild disbanded but I do know the Heroic differences of the 5 I have yet to down.

Briefly discuss your Pre-BC, BC, and WOTLK raiding experience; what raids did you find most challenging and most enjoyable:
I started playing WoW when naxx was THE raid to complete. Since then I've full cleared Naxx, Ulduar, toc, togc 10, togc25 4/5.
I found Ulduar the most challenging and of course the safety dance in naxx still because it still wipes pugs with such ease and Mimron's Firefighter.

Please explain your talent spec and how you chose to distribute your points:
0/53/18 Frost with subspec Unholy
I distributed my talent points to max my RP regeneration and of course to get as must dps as I can get. I've compared it to Paragon's top frost DK and several other players aswell as reading the 3.3 thread on Elitist Jerks.

Do you have experience and gear for other specs, please elaborate if applicable:
I have a full 264 Blood tanking offset (6k gs)
I also have played Unholy dps for a year and am currently working for a shadows edge to play around with so no problem going back.
And finally I have a PvP unholy spec and gear. (This is currently in place of my tanking spec)

Currently neither my current guild, or previous last two guilds have used WoL's but I am familiar with its usage.

Briefly explain your general approach to gearing and geming your character (what stats do you prefer and why):
I gem str now because I am exactly at my hit and expertise caps. In red+yellow pieces with worthy socket bonuses I put in 10 str 10 crit but am currently reading the benefits of 10 str 10 haste. In terms of gear I look for Crit, ArP, and haste.

Describe your DPS/healing/tanking rotation in a typical raid encounter:
Frost DK's are more proc dependent so we have no true rotation.
I start off with applying diseases and then to activate my 4set I blood strike to put runes on CD followed by blood tap for unbreakable armor then summon ghoul and chop chop away. Obliterate off CD's and try to Frost strike with Killing machine procs but will dump runic power anyway without procs. My only true CD is unbreakable armor DPS wise with a minute CD so I can time it right and save for a later burn phase in a fight. Powa Auras helps me stay perfectly in the know with my procs.


We raid on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-10:00 PST, will you be regularly available during these times. (Please note that due to our relatively relaxed schedule raiders are expected to maintain 80% attendance):
This is no problem, I am looking for late raiding.

I am applying to FYSK because it is hard to find a well established and progressed guild in need of a Death Knight. My server personally has more horde Death Knights than possibly the entire Alliance population.

What do you think you can contribute to FYSK, don't be obvious:
I think I can be very versatile because I have played so many specs as a DK in terms of tanking and dps'ing. I also am an Elixir master so many flasks procs, and of course Icy Talons!

What previous guilds have you been in and why did you leave:
Welfare - Left because the guild leader and officers were having a lot of drama toward some friends of mine.
Elysium - Currently here but they lack progression.

Are you applying to any other guilds:
I am not because I like the concept of a 2 night raiding guild as opposed to 3 or 4.

Sorry that I keep talking about my guilld leader. The guy is just really impressive and I feel he serves as a good roll model to how other guild leaders should maintain their members. Most other guilds would take that app and go "ooooooo" "ahhhhhhhh" "nice app!!!". not him lol

Let's hope he doesn't require proof of such people being able to stay up for a full 24 hours to be recruited.

Oh and here's my four 80s, in nice Achievement comparison form. Yes, I know, my gear on those characters are lacking. Deal with it.

We only raid 2 nights a week. As long as your parents aren't dragging you away mid-raid then that's all that really matters.

On a personal note, goddamn Heroic Sindy (10m)! Such a huge peach to heal >.<. Heroic Putricide (10m) only took two wipes to get down, and we were really good about that plague thing. But fucking Sindy... we must have wiped on her 16 times. It's gotta be the least fun and hardest-to-heal fight I've ever done. Once she dies I'll get my wonderful Glory of the Icecrown Raider 10m mount, and I'll get to suicide on Heroic LC some. Should be good times.

Nearly all of my guildmates hate 10m H-Sindra. What's even worse is a ton of us, including myself, only need her and/or 1 easy achievement for our drakes. Super annoying lol

I FINALLY found some decent arena partners. Running RLS right now with a 2k+ warlock and resto shaman. We went 21 wins 7 losses at 1.8-2.2k MMR last night =). Beat a 2.2k double healer warrior team lulz. That comp is so faceroll.
