What kind of DS do you have?

Just curious to see what form of DS SP users have. I have a DS Lite that I got for Christmas in like 2006. I gave my old fattie DS to my friend and she still uses it. The hinge on my DS Lite broke so I had to put lots of tape over the back so that the top screen can sit up like it used to before the hinge broke.

I prefer to call it ghetto functional.

Black DS Lite, bought it used on Craigslist for $60 last year. Hinge broke a few months ago (flimsy little things, aren't they?) from dropping it, making it the only Nintendo product I've ever owned to do so. I used the superglue method.

I did call Redmond and they said they could completely replace it and send me a new one for $60. They lowered it to $50 when I balked at the price, but I still didn't go for it. I didn't know you could actually haggle with those guys.

Had a phaty ds that I sold for 35$(lol) but I bought a dsi this year, wich I will sell to get the 3ds, hopefully, since it has backward capabilities for old ds games anyway, so why not

I had the DS Cobalt Blue and Black, but it was stolen :'(

I'm on my third DS now (the damn L buttons keep dying). Every single one has been a blue original DS. I vastly prefer the feel of the buttons on those. I may, however, get a 3DS when those come out. Who knows, maybe they'll have fixed the L buttons by then too.

Yes, the DS Lites have a history of hinges breaking. I started investigating some repair options, but I knew the 3DS was on the way. E3 was the next week so I figured I'd at least wait till then to see the new system. So now I'm waiting for that.

I'm not surprised by how many people have the original DS. They have pretty long life spans, considering I got my first within a month of them first coming out and my friend still uses it. Four hour battery life sucks though, and my DS Lite doesn't have much longer than that. </3

Runs great still, only issues are minor scratches.

I have a DS Lite in Red and Black. And a CycloDS Evolution Card with a 8gb card~

Black DS lite I got in 2007. Hinge broke about half a year ago (go me for having a younger sister that likes to bumb into you, or throw stuff at you while you're playing?), and I fixed it with tape. I'm trying to keep it alive until I get the 3DS(the L button "dies" every now and then, and the A button hardly feels like a button anymore, but it still works perfectly), and after that I will just use it to move Pokémon around or something like that. I still have my Red GBA SP too, and I also have acces to a Gameboy color(although it's not really mine).

I started on a project to take it apart and paint it, but that proved to be too much work. I got the big top plate done, though.

I had the Blue brick, but then after a while the shoulder buttons gave out. Bought a DS blue Lite, but that one is starting to show it's age too; I still have both, the brick being a backup DS. I shall never throw it away as long as it breaths life. BLUE FOR LIFE BABY.

I have a Cobalt/Black DS Lite, had it for two years now. The only thing wrong with mine is the R button, it gets... dust under it or something sometimes, I have to blow it out.

Black DS Lite, and I haven't had any problems with it. It's pretty scratched up due to dropping it and stuff like that, but it works fine and none of the buttons have any problems.

I had an original DS, and did not intend to upgrade, but then it broke. I had it charging on a table, and my sister tripped on the cord, and something inside the top screen broke.

I have a white DS Lite. It's the only DS I've ever had or had any desire to have. I'm not getting a new hand-held system until the Nintendo 3D Screen.
