I still say they need to revamp the bug report system to something actually practical to make use of this. As others have already said, localization isn't as easy as many people make it out to be, although it is still significantly easier than creation of new content on a time basis. Issues can still come up within the style of formatting and partial or missing translations.

To make true use of a testing system for both parties, even if it is only a public version, they should have a database that testers can access of other user submitted bugs so as to not duplicate the same thing over and over. Additionally, they need to have a classification system to label the detrimental effect of bugs reported, i.e. A, B, C class and so on. Now, I know that NEXON does a terrible job overall for their content, but it does have to be accepted that when on a deadline, not ALL bugs can be addressed. Generally, the further from the release date, the more bugs can be addressed.

Ultimately, even if this is a volunteer job, NEXON needs to improve the one thing they've always been terrible at; Communication. If they can't form a bond between coders and testers, this will be a repeat of round 3 again. Granted when I worked it was more of a Love-Hate relationship, especially when I found hitting a button prior to company logos at the start of a game crashed the system when the title I was on when it was put into it's final format (ran fine on the test kit prior to that).

Levels = more dedication = more drive to seek out bugs and actually DO THEIR JOB. It has nothing to do with what they're testing, they just have to test it.

Wrong, level means nothing in this game. It's funny how you see people going around " Hey I'm level 14x your level 6x your noob I'm better". I seriously had a level 15x ask where Herb Town just a few months ago. Just because you can leech doesn't make you pro I know very few high level people that not leeched on actually MapleStory some of them are dumber then level 3x walking around.

If anything it should be people that have accounts over level 70 that have been active for over 2 years maybe 3. Only reason I say 70 is because have tons of people have level 15-50 mules so multiple accounts they own don't get selected. Plus,no even knows if it's random people are just assuming it was random because they didn't get in.

To me, Nexon kind of trolled me by not choosing me.

I mean, come on. After all the efforts I put to try to convince them and to try to give them good suggestions to improve it in their forums since they closed it.. after winning the last bug report event two years ago.. after being so willing to test.. they didn't choose me. Lol.

I can't really figure out the criteria. I've never been banned before, not even for mistake. I'm level 160 now, and I've never been as active as I've been in the past months. My account is 4 year old, if not more. What else do they want?

I think the criteria (if there was one) was really general/easy and they picked at complete random in it.

Maybe you should log a ticket and mention that you were the winner of the bug report event. It might work and it if doesn't, there's no harm done.

Your logic is flawed, because ensuring that changes in other versions mesh with the "brand new content" that's already native to the version and therefore wouldn't have been a consideration for the originating version is approximate to what you said it should only be for. The content itself may have been tested previously, but not how it interacts with our own local differences and the players are far more aware of local quirks than the GMs are, let alone other versions. As long as we have any unique content then anything newly introduced it new by virtue of never having been tested in our situation.

this made me laugh hard lol no offense but majority of "high" levels i know are far from knowledgeable or really dedicated to this game. i know people lvl 70 and below that are far more dedicated to this game then people lvl 150+, in short lvls are nothing more than commodities that are easily gained with no real effort theses days they prove nothing anymore

If they're picking people at random, isn't there a bigger chance of them getting a bunch of people who don't care about testing and will just mess around in Tespia? If you have to manually apply, it at least shows you're interested. It'd suck for an invite to be wasted on someone who's just checking a mule account, or someone who's pretty much already quit and just goes on to chat with friends.

With higher level also comes more experience with how the game is actually SUPPOSED to be played, thus instantly making them better for seeking out bugs.

not when a vast majority leeched there way to that lvl and just sit on there char and also with the amount of low level content vs high lvl content people at lower levels can understand alot of the game also w/o ever having to reach 4th job levels

Hell im almost 183, I rarely, if ever, train with ultimate users. I think Tespia needs the kind of high leveld characters that care more about perfecting their style instead of those that just care about numbers alone.

im not saying every high level leeched im just saying form my experience there's far more high levels that did leech then there are that aren't and also saying dedication shouldn't just be based on level u can be low level and still be as dedicated as anyone else in the game o.o

So leeching makes everyone nib? ive never seen someone leech up to like what 15x+ maybe just make the requirement that hell, i love training 12 hrs on 4x just to lvl one time its fun as hell. LF>for no 2x cards and ultimates like back in the old days plox, AFK gobies....I have a feeling they should make the requirements 3+ year old accounts and lvl 70+ with activity. That would solve all drama, also I think we should have a sign up for tespia that way they don't pick random mule accounts that might not get used and etc.

Making the requirements 3+yo accounts would cause even more drama as its biased to the few who have been here longer wich ar eno bette rthen ones that have been here for only 1 or 2 years

The thing is, they did -not- have any specific criteria for selecting testers. -Hime- only states there was and that it wasn't random because, duh, admitting it would make them look unprofessional.

There were people who hadn't played for almost a year that were selected when they logged in. -Most- of the productive members of the Maple community were -not- selected, it didn't matter if they had been playing since Beta, or they were never banned once, or even if they were the ones sending in tons of Bug Reports; they didn't get in, but the kid asking, ''What's Tespia?! O_O I got a pop-up saying I was chosen for something! Is it a scam?!'' got in.

Even in the slim chance it -wasn't- random, they still picked almost nothing but unproductive members of Maple, so they're bringing themselves back to what happened last time.

How about they just round up the quest kings? Those people were the ones who went above and beyond to experience all available content to them and thereby have more "experience". >.>

But seriously now, there's no real standard to take by that won't leave an equally large set of exceptions. Just drop the argument.

I actually got in, the account that got in was not over 2 years old but I have been playing since v.17 so I've been around a while. And yeah I'm also more of a lurker on here though I will try my best to update you guys on whatever happens on Tespia.
