Dual Blade SP Guide
#21
Although I'm not really planning on getting a DB past 30-40, this helped. The DB skillbooks are frustratingly confusing. I maxed Double Stab on one, and got Dark Sight on another at level 15. I wasn't aware you could save SP from 1st to 2nd job.

I didn't realize 2nd job was at 20, either >_>

Jeez, do I have to start over? I didn't see this until after I leveled to 30 and currently have
3 Disorder
10 Dark Sight
10 Double Stab
19 Mastery
10 Triple Stab
6 Booster
3 Self Haste
and 1 Slash Storm

D; I don't wanna do all those quests for like the third time now can anyone help me out?

I don't see any problem with this except I think you're missing like 3 SP?

You don't have to start over, you can continue as you are and work it out. The only thing that isn't up with the build is Dark Sight, but that is minor at best.

I just feel like I severely messed up because I can't have Self-Haste as quickly, nor Slash Storm.

Btw, I've tried resetting the SP, it won't let you add to 2nd+ job. But it will with 2nd.

I think I'm more mad that I'll feel behind-ish and that it won't be corrected until late 3rd job?

You're fine. You'll end up getting Dark Sight later on anyway, so it's not that big of a deal. You're only level 30, so it's not like minor mistakes will make huge differences.

Is there a build for those of us that are stuck with 5 in Slash Storm?

Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Would it be viable to drop 6 out of fatal blow and max mastery + nimble body. I was trying to plan out my skill build so much, but I figured I could get to 4th before MSBB, have a mass SP reset, and just assign all the points i want into passive skills/kills that aren't replaced later i.e. double stab, triple stab

Or do the ellin forest build and drop 9 from flash bang?

You really shouldn't drop either fatal blow or big bang as both are extremely useful for bossing. Fatal blow is your secondary attack on single targets during chains of hell's delay, and flash bang is ridiculous when it comes to blinding bosses (~90% misses show up at zakum, etc.) and actually works well as a finisher when thorns works with it, as it's your only long-ranged mob attack that doesn't send you flying in that direction. If you can get to 3rd+ before your SP resets expire, I would suggest resetting triple stab into endure, which is what I did. Unfortunately, you don't get free 1st job resets for double stab -> nimble body.

minor mistake, should be 5

Thanks for the guide and the comments/inputs
helps me a lot

Thanks for the catch! Will edit later.

ShiKage Wrote:You mean 6. Six booster is the average for any build, as a one minute time frame for booster is perfect until you can max it.

Edit : wait, what... I just saw what you meant. lol

Why is there 5 booster instead of 6? 6 is the average choice.

It doesn't really matter, this is where personal preference comes in. If you feel like you need a longer timer, you could modify the build and max self haste and slash storm like a level later. The build is just a guideline. 5 booster just makes it look neater, and I feel 50 seconds is a decent timer.

That build is fine, you'll just get self haste and slash storm later, nothing damaging in the long run. I just put nimble body before dark sight because dark sight is useless for training and the accuracy/avoid are at least not useless, but if you're big on pqs where dark sight is required or find yourself heading up to windraiders frequently or something, you could add into that instead.

Hmm. Would a DB have accuracy problems without pumping points into Nimble Body? I personally chose Dark sight in the end of 2nd+ job, for the faster DS walking to windraiders. I'm still 52, due Star Craft 2 release, but will aim for 3rd+ this weekend Big Grin

I haven't really had any bad accuracy problems yet, but my NB is level 10, so I might not be one to speak.

I have 0 nimble body and have had no trouble with hitting anything.
I'm 92 atm.

Good build, I guess.

Doesn't Luk and Dex add accuracy anyway hmmmmm?

A lot of times you're training on something higher level and you might not have enough accuracy to hit it.

Yep.
And with a crappy z helm, you can hit just about anything, as long as you dont try too far over your level range.
I never missed at anything I've trained at (51 st Wind Raiders, 69 at stormbreakers, 83 at Gallops)

Everything earlier is easy enough.

Yeah sounds good. I kinda realized nimble might be somewhat useless anyway with potentials as I might hit up to the 999 cap sooner or later. Good tip about the 3rd job reset though, I'll be sure to use that.

isn't there only 26 sp at 70, even with the book?

Yeah, I was gonna say the same. I think you might have a point too many in your 3rd job build. Nice builds though!

Is it viable to use Upper Stab for Typhon training, seeing as they're always airborne? Or does it not work that way?

I've got 30 SP still and I cant advance at lv 55 until I use me SP. Frown

How stuffed am I going to be having only 5 in Slash Storm and dumping the rest into Dark Sight/Nimble Body? So much for NOT REQUIRING NX to play this class....
