Bigfoot EXP Nerf
#1
As some of us know, Bigfoot now gives 20k exp instead of 2,660k. I think this is a solution until the web/poison glitch is fixed, since they cant fix it in a server check, only with a patch. Do you guys think it will be back to 2.6m if its gonna be concidered as a boss? o_o

This is definitely just a temporary measure since they can't change the boss flag without a patch, and I think they'd rather keep .60 for something special anyway.
I'm pretty sure the exp'll go back up to 2.6mil next patch when the boss flag is fixed.

I agree with the above poster.
Do you think Nexon would put in a monster with more hp than Pap/Pianus and not give it the appropriate corresponding exp?

And could you post this in the already existing thread next time?

I don't get it. The Boss flag is entirely (?) or atleast in huge portions serversided. Things like poison and web are entirely done by the server they could have just set it at their side...
Oh well I guess this is another possible solution. Or the boss is really meant to be without a boss flag but it should not be dotable...

I'm sorry. I'll take a look next time.

They nerfed baby typhons too. I've been there for quite a while and I havent got anything, not even a potion.

It probably will change after the patch but what if Nexon wanted it to be poisonable and shadow webbed? So its easier to complete the pendant quest.

Nerfing Bigfoot's EXP is a good thing, I really hope Nexon sticks with this!

The low EXP will make BF unattractive to hunt it down all the time, giving other people, who don't waste their life hunting down BF 8 hours a day, to kill it and finish the quest!

Good fix Nexon! Smile

Yeah, instead of having a somewhat worthwhile monster with a high EXP output, everyone who doesn't have a DoT attack gets to traverse through a forest crawling with a fast as pumpernickel monster that will kill you on contact, and will give you almost none of the EXP you lost back upon killing, keep up the awesome work, Nexon! Smile

...At least I already did the quests there, so I can avoid Bigfag on my way to CWK.

Now there's going to be tons of maps filled with big foots that no one wants to kill...... How is that a fix? A boss monster with more HP than pap that gives as much exp as 5 skeles? It's the dumbest hit i've ever seen. I do agree with the others on thinking this is only a temporary fix until the next patch.

If I were Nexon and I needed to fix bigfoot. I'd turn his HP down to normal, make him a boss monster, and bring down his touch damage to about 3k-3.5k.

so maybe i'm only imagining there's a QUEST involving a bigfoot drop... gee, nobody will be doing THAT because obviously lower exp means the quest doesn't exist RITE GAIZ?

It's not a fix, it's most likely just a temporarily state until they've fixed the glitch with a patch. (As you said yourself, other people already have mentioned)

The problem with fixing him in that way, is that his statuses can only be changed through a patch.

They should've done this earlier. I wont be happy till I see bans of those glitchers in Yellonde. (Wont happen) >_>

Hmmm nah 3.5k touch dmg is too weak... HH does that... We need something more challenging then a lvl 100 boss....

Let's make Bigfoot like this:
- Make it a Boss
- Double HP of Headless Horseman [7m HP]
- Double EXP of Headless Horseman [600k Exp]
- Double Damage of Headless Horseman [6k Touch - 6k Ranged]
- Knockback of 20k damage

Ya cause we all need an infinite amount of those toes...
Wait WE DON"T!@!
so until we get a new Bigfoot there will be hundreds of 11k damage 20k exp monsters lurking around killing anyone in Phantom Forest.
...
This solution only works IF you nerf his damage too.Glitter
...
RIP baby typhons.

You mean make him 2x HH....
So original.
I like the regular Bigfoot
They just need to give him GOOD drops.
Or really any non-Random ETC. would be nice.
And make him a boss with maybe stunnable or or Cap DoT %s on him.
Something cool

Nexon can't make any other boss types then 1 version-for-all atm... or they have to reprogram their whole boss-system (not gonna happen).

Btw, at the moment, BF = recolored Crow with boss flag 0, with slightly more damage... talking about original... Wink

No, a double-of-everything HH sounds better to me! Smile

Assuming the boss flag is not a boolean (which I sadly assume), chances are that they only mix boss and non-boss code limits, making a new boss type (2), unable for webbing and poisoning (or damage over time, such as venom), but able to stun.

That is, assuming the boss flag is not a boolean, lol.

hmm... 20k exp is still pretty good for a level 70-90 f/p mage or sin isnt it?

20k Exp is still a lot for me:f6:..hmm I think they did a good temporary solution to a problem this time lol. Now a lot of people won't be ksing the hell out of each other for the dam toe or not even hunting it at all b/c all they wanted to do was get the exp anyways.

I think I have to agree. If it's going to have an experience nerf for the time being, it should also have an HP nerf. Since all the F/P mages and Hermits are going to be turned off to it, we're going to have an abundance of channels with BigFoots in them. I, for one, can't survive an 11,000 hit while going to CWK. >.> Granted, in every map that BigFoot spawns in, there are other monsters you could bump into, to avoid the damage - but it sucks when you walk into a Twisted map, and land on one. xP Oh well - I still say it should have an HP nerf. >.>

I just hope they fix it, soon. xP I'd love to kill a bigfoot and it actually be worthwhile.
