MapleSEA v0.61 - Malaysia o_O

MSea's gonna get their Malaysia map..

Dear Maplers,

Please be informed that there will be a Game Client Patch and Cash Shop Update for MapleSEA on the 28th August 2008, from 0800 hrs to 1400 hrs (+8 GMT). The Game Service will be down during this period. Please logout before this time to avoid any loss of items.

The upcoming patch includes:

Version 0.61

* Launch of the New Exclusive Malaysia Map!
* Party Party event available when you party up with another job character!
(From 30th Aug ~ 28th Sep)
* New Cash Items added!
* Reported Bug Fixed!

If you have problem running the auto-patch when starting the game through the desktop shortcut, restart your PC and follow the steps described in this link here:

If this fails, please download the manual patch. If manual patch does not work, please re-download the new game client. Check our FAQ section for more information.

Hah! So I was wrong when I guessed that the "Malaysia" map that was supposed to have been in development had actually been in reference to one of the other 3 areas of Singapore.

Kinda weird though. They just got Ulu and Krexel, now they're getting something more?

I have a question, is singapore a completed area? If not then it kinda makes sense that they would get a new area, but it still is kinda out of left field that they would get a completely different area.

Just because Singapore doesn't have rich lore that hints to future areas like our own Masteria, doesn't mean that Singapore will ever be "done". Nothing in this game is ever "done". Things are always getting expanded in some way, even things as old as Victoria or Maple Island.

true, but there are just many thing about Masteria that hint at expansions even without it being given by something, but yea, is gonna be a new area connected to Singapore, or is it a new area like Singapore was. Thats my main question.

I surprised that MapleSEAs world tour area is probably the largest out of all the other versions world tours...

I bet that Shaolin Temple+Shanghai is bigger still, but yeah, depending on the size of Malaysia it might even topple Zipangu. Then again we've got Future Tokyo to take that title back in the near future.

Regardless, I find it surprising that they are releasing the M'sia Map just in time for the M'sia National Day. Perhaps it was planned out all along?

And to those who say black blobs are repetitive, I beg to differ, as the black blobs actually signify that the area is under Singapore/Malaysia, just like how mushrooms are linked to henesys, stumps linked to perion and pixies linked to orbis.

Well, granted, there isn't a need to link everything in the place with BLACK BLOBS. However cute they are, it gives the image that the artists are just... not creative enough somewhat!

I foresee the Malaysia Maps to be a 80% rip off from the Singapore maps. Expect the similarities.

Yeah, it probably was, they've probably been working on getting the bugs out of this for a long time, unlike the last version exclusive that recently came out. -.-
