Dear Maplers,

All MapleStory game servers will be up by 9:30PM Pacific (12:30AM Eastern). The 2x event will resume till 1AM Pacific (4AM Eastern). The game also will not be rolled back and Cash items will be extended.

That's one of those things you just have to say "oh well" to. Wanna know how many hours i spent getting a character to 50 for a measly ring? Much more than 6 hours, and much more than 5k NX.

That's assuming you're a player who is willing to just say "oh well." Sorry, but he's right - time is valuable, and giving people the chance to accomplish the same feat in less time is not the same as refunding the time lost because it still costs time to accomplish said feat. When it comes down to it, that's one of my biggest issues with Nexon rollbacks, the other being not properly and fully refunding prepaid NX. That's stealing.

Sure, Nexon can say "oh well, keep using our product - at least your in-game economy is safe." In return, any player affected by said issues has a 100% justifiable right to say "oh well, screw your real life economy" and quit.

And did you guys wait before jumping to conclusions about their officially being a rollback? The rankings didn't have time to update correctly. There was no rollback, or a very small one at the most. Think before you speak.

ALSO. unrelated to special people thinking they can talk back without warrant, Think of all the money SOME people spent for the purpose of this event. I bought 3 character slots. 2 were for characters I legitimately wanted and one was for my fire mage killing machine ring generator that didn't go as planned because I was fucking tired all month. three character slots. At least 10-20 non-rollbacked golden temple invites. I spent money all around for what is now nothing, because nexon stole our rings. All they can tell us is that they gave us 5000 maple points and extended the things we don't want or need anymore.

I never said the loss of time isn't an issue, it's a very big one. It's the only real reason rollbacks are meant as an absolute last resort. My point is that you can't really do anything about it, so whether you want to fight for compensation or not, you're going to have to get over the time lost and say "oh well".

Aegis was always better when it came to stabablity... sadly the majority of content in RO was hardcoded in both the server and client.

If I had logged in tonight and either de-leveled or lost my ring, I sincerely would have given my equips away to good friends and turned my back on this game once and for all. Nexon has done some sincerely stupid things in the past, but they've really outdone themselves this time. Words cannot express my burning, seething hate for Nexon. I truly am sick of them. They have yet to do anything that impresses me.

I am utterly disgusted! I'll probably get banned with the ticket I sent them, but whatever. It's not like I really have anything else to lose on this game. I lost enough back in January. They can go *&^% a %$#@!!!!

That's why I preferred Athena. I could make my own scripts and content in a fairly easy programming language. I made a script for a casino, a hotel, race minigames, etc... Until I ran out of money to host a server. In Aegis it would had been a pain to do something like this:

1) Was there a rollback? No. There is no need to get so worked up over this argument, you're making yourself look like a fool.
2) Nexon said they would refund the NX, if not, then you should go log a ticket.
3) It was a mistake of Nexon to not extend the ring event, but so what? In some months, they'll become useless anyway without the critical bonus.

Overall, you need to calm down.

I'm on the same situation, but lost 3 rings I had. If I can't get my explorer rings back, I'll probably just quit and try something else. I know there are people that got over 9000 rings or whatever in the first 24 hours of the event, good for you. For me, 3 rings costed me a whole month of work since I couldn't play much, and don't have the same resources as you do. I did nothing else in the last month. Might as well had Nexon delete my ring mules, since they're useless now, except for reminding me that I don't have my rings.
