Half of BP's fortune is now going back to the american people. Also, the crisis has brought the american people together and raised awareness of our need to find alternative sources of energy.

Nexon just pisses people off.

Oil spill --> marine life and fishing industries jeopardized --> less export / more dependency on foreign marine imports leading to depreciation of US currency --> US Treasury stops producing currency in order to have the US currency appreciate --> everything gets more expensive in the United States --> Everyone being affected by the oil spill.

What you described will definitely happen, but I don't see a massive inflation resulting from it. The only thing I could think of when it first happened was "gee, maybe now I'll have to pay $45 to fill up a tank instead of $43", but I don't even see that happening. All I ever hear is "THE MARINE LIFE IS DYING OMGGGGGGG" and "POOR CITIZENS OF LOUISANA" but I don't give a f uck about fishes and I don't live in Louisiana and I don't know anyone in Louisiana so I don't care.

People need to laugh at BP in order to compensate for their own mistakes. Or maybe that's just me :3

Sadly, some of those people are 5+ above that in age... which is stunning. Though I shouldn't be because how people can be idiots in this world... there inability to not grasp the actual impact of the oil spill is absolutely hilarious, amazing, and scary.

I think it depends on how the oil spill turns out. Not knowing that yet though I would say Nexon is worse.
