TheSmartGuy's Guide on Making Mesos
#41
Perhaps something about just browsing FM too (don't think I mentioned this)... This easily brings in on a slow day 25m, and upwards to 150m+ on a better day...

EDIT: This is in a kind of less populated server, so it always takes less than an hour too! =D

Where'd that come from/what does that have to do with moneymaking?

Hell if I know. I was just answering your question. Or was that not a question?

I didn't see if it was said but I'd scratch off Missing Mechanical Parts from the quest list (unless they fixed it during the CwK patch), it's glitched. I've done it twice over the summer and both times, I got no reward, no EXP, was not removed from the quest map, and did not have the parts removed from my inventory, the quest merely went into my "completed" list. I also know it's not cause I chose the "wrong option" when talking to the Cheng in the quest room because between the two characters, I have chosen both options. So now I am reluctant to do the quest again with my new page until it is confirmed that it is fixed, I don't want to miss out on a third scroll.

tl;dr: Missing Mechanical Parts quest is glitched, don't do it.

http://strategywiki.org/wiki/MapleStory/...ical_Parts You have to click on the etc part at the end of the quest.

Leprachauns are apparently glitched. They have 2 magic attacks: one that does stun, another that does 7-8k. If they aren't auto aggro'd, then a cleric could be positioned to heal while a HP fighter would PG. They would both get exp, and decent mesos.

I'm going to try it, at least. I do believe I have a position worked out for the cleric to be in heal range and not in attack range of the Lep, but idk.

Hopefully they just leave them as is *or add the stun attack but not the magic attack <_<*

So THAT'S how you finish the quest. :f6:

Love for the HP warrior! Although, having actually done this, I must warn you that the cleric might have to spend MP pots because MP eater is not being activated. (Also, I don't remember any situation when the HP warrior was killing anything? This may change with the leprechaun-whatever-it's-called situation.) If you can get a swarm of HP warriors it will be absolutely brilliant fantastic EXP for the cleric. Wink.

I would see this primarily as an advantage of EXP for the cleric rather than saving money. HP warriors are a black hole as far as making money is concerned, although they're still my favourite and I couldn't play any other class... Not that they cost very much - just that they never give back!

I figured that's what you meant, but PG only works on touch damage, and lollipop attack isn't touch damage Hurt

Well I HAVE seen a video of a HP warrior killing a bone fish with Power Guard while a cleric healed him. This type of alliance would probably help the cleric's exp bar more than it would help the HP warrior's wallet, but it's a way for the HP warrior to save cash that he would normally spend training.

Personally, I don't really see the point of this discussion.

I've finished it correctly on my WK, sin, 2 wizards, and a spearman and between the characters that got no reward, I used both options, and neither worked. I don't know now, maybe I'll try one more time on my page and if it doesn't work again, I'm boycotting the quest on all other characters.

Lol "boycotting"? Anyways, if I get any more complaints I'll take the quest off the list.

For good start up money, couldn't you do what NegiWarrior ('Lexy here) said on his guide on HS? Gather/buy leathers, make a WG in Kerning, sell for 20k~50k easily. You can make a mil in a week with little to no effort, and it's great startup money on a new server. *cough* Yellonde

Oh, and, sorry about the "bump". I figured the last post was only yesterday and since it was something to add, it'd be fine.

WOW the merchanting section for the guide was freaking awesome. I actually learned something (and its been a while since that's happened). Though the other sections were.... lacking (and by that I mean pretty much nonexistent).

Btw, I like bumps. Please do it as much as you can. Cool

Actually, I just realized the guide I mentioned had a link to your guide in it. Tongue

EDIT: I found 100%ing Bathrobes to be fantastic money. Making a 10 DEX 0 slot Bathrobe costs 370k and can sell for 700k.

Lol... that defies logic. But if it works, -shrug-
