I saw prancing around White Mama Monkeys, killing them for juicy EXP and noticed that Savage Blow's top and bottom hits do the same damage, also critical too. Criticals come from my Dagger at a 7% rate.

At first I thought it was some weird glitch with my level 14 Savage Blow. First, I looked at this KMST video and it also repeated values for the highest and lowest Savage Blow hit.
I decided to hop on my Shadower and... his Savage Blows hits are all different. This doesn't happen to him.
So, what the hell!? Did I miss something? Is this old news?

I was in CPQ on my sin today (made after last patch) fighting rombots and noticed that while I was affected with darkness I would miss about 2/3 of the time but when my attacks did land both values were always the same

I noticed this too in a kMST video with strafe, never figured out why it happened. If the top and bottom number don't both either critical or not critical though, the numbers don't draw from the same random damage range number.

Could it be due to the dagger?
Try using a different dagger and see if this still happens. ._.

So, I tried using another Dagger on Bounzy the Bandit, using the Fruit Knife you get after getting Rogue status. What happened was that my top and bottom damage were different, I started to think, maybe it has something to do with Cassandra's rental weapons or weapons she gives out.
I went to get the rental weapon for my Shadower, asking for 100 Beakers at Homuns. Viewer discretion is advised:
Screenshots were taken in order, from left to right. On the mobs I tested inside the Zenumist lab, I got the same damage on the top and bottom hit of Savage Blow using my Golden Double Knife (GDK) and Fruit Knife (FK). So, I went to test it over at Scorpions with my GDK and... the hits were different.
I decided to go use my Fruit Knife at Scorpions. The hits were the same for about 70% of the time, the other 30% they were different.
**Summary:
On Bandit,
- Scorpions with FK, hits are different.
- Scorpions with Explorer's Bazlud, hits are the same.
On Shadower,
- Mobs inside lab with GDK & FK, hits are the same.
- Scorpions with GDK, hits are different.
- Scorpions with FK, hits are same around 70% of the time.
Guys, what the fuck is going here?

I think it's Nexon using some data compression tool here to save data.
From the start of maple I always noticed that if you stay on a certain attack range and keep attacking the same monsters, the damage you do is not COMPLETELY random, certain numbers always come back more then others, so I guess Maple's binomial distribution is somehow off-scale, or just not present anymore...
It's the same with attack damage numbers shown that you will do on the next attack (I noticed this on my fireWizz ring mule). Maybe Nexon sends random data in packages of 10 (instead of 1) to the client now, and something goes terrible wrong with the actual implementation of it?
But I guess this has to do with the data compression Nexon put into Maple... so save 1% money...
Another extreme annoying data compression in maple that Nexon introduced is, that people (in the same map as you!) that move away more then 2-screens, dissapear on your mini map, even when the mini-map is large enough for them to be shown, one good example is the Flying Dragon Boss, most of the time you have no idea where your teammates are... really crappy made and extremely annoying imo... buy yeah... I guess Nexon has to save data to squeeze the most money out of maple as possible, at the cost of gameplay...

Same thing happened to my dit, with some level of SB where it hits five times.
I was thinking it might be because of the rebalance patch, mostly because I didn't have a dit until then, but then I think I vaguely remember the same thing happening to my TB while I was hunting Headless Horseman a while back, it had accuracy problems and some of the hits on Barrage were repeated.

It has to do something with the adventurer rings: When I have my cruel ring equipped, every 5th blow is the same as the first
without my cruel ring, it's the same with the sixth.
It has to do with the criticals (not the chance to 1hitko) because when I unquip my ring and equip my lv 30 durability dagger which gives 7% criticals, it's also the 5th.
