Maplestory revamp KMST videos.
based on the lvl 8x DK video, final attack for DK appear slower than other FA. probably bcoz of weapon spd.

Ugh! The HP gain has got to be a bug. From 50 to 72 I'm only calculating ~35 HP per level up, or 28 HP without the HP skill. We are as fragile as ranged classes in this case. kMS forgot to address the fact Brawlers need warrior-like HP levels at class advancement (adjusting HP gained per level to at least ~50 HP/level for Brawlers), not Corsair like HP levels. I'm facepalming hard right now. The fact CSB is hitting 3 times is also a wth.

Does that mean we're losing HP? D: That and the fact we have a lot os stuff to max out in 2nd job too? -sigh- looks like i need to stack up on NX to buy SP resets...

The increase in killing speed more than makes up for it though. On flat maps i barely get hit.

What about bosses? If this HP rate keeps up I'm calculating us only having 4,557 HP at level 120 instead of our current 6k unwashed. That's 5 levels of wrong. Someone needs to report this to kMS. Sure you may not be getting hit much now, but we all know in 4th job we'll be getting hit all the time in order to keep Counter Attack up since Dragon Strike will make us take a hit. How are we supposed to boss with the melee if we can't take a big a hit as them. I don't want to be a Dual Blader at bosses I'd rather be a Shadower/warrior. Even Aran at this point has more HP than us.

Again, we have ranged HP for a melee class that doesn't have defenses like a Shadower to make up for it. That's just not right.

*Actually, I think Gunslingers get more HP than us. Supposedly I remembered one AP put into HP was 40 HP for the Slinger. Brawler's HP is bugged.

Bosses? They aren't relevant at my level, lmfao. You're worrying about HP yet you're forgetting that barrage is now spammable. Who cares if we can't take AS HIGH of hits when we can avoid every attack until statuses kick in. Demo is even better since we're farther away from the boss anyway and we have demo 95% of the time now! Less HP is in no way a concern.

It bothers me because this is a first for kMS to actually nerf a class's HP. Also, I still suspect something is up because level 72->73 I only saw a 27 HP increase. That somehow means Gunslingers gain more HP than us even with the +20% HP skill. This would place us at 4.1k HP at 120 then instead of my earlier predicted 4.5k and is drastically lower than 6k at 120 . Something just doesn't add up.

This is also a problem with statuses. Pap stuns you; Lyka seduces you; Horntail stuns/seduces you. No amount of Barrage spamming can reliably stop that. Gaining only 27 HP means we are barely gaining more HP than Thieves and Archers (aka ranged level HP at melee range combat). God dang we aren't as nimble as either of them. We rely on STR as our main source of damage so we should be hardier than then.

It may take time for me to adjust to this, but as it is now I'm disappointed we actually got nerfed HP when no other class had this happen to them. In fact warriors are gaining more HP than ever which they didn't really need since HP washing is more optional for them than us, and seems the case for Arans as well when a 16x-17x has over 9k HP.

Perhaps somebody just made a typo when they were changing the HP gains, and it'll be patched in the new patch?

Like i said, it's not like it matters. Boss damage ends up being way lower than it originally is anyway because of all the % damage reducing skills out there now.

Yet I don't see (as far as I know) kMS nerfing other class's HP to accomodate for lower boss damage. That's just backwards, because from all we have seen so far kMS was trying to HP washing a non-issue for all classes: archers and Gunslingers seemed to have buffed HP; Thieves are gaining 10% more; warriors and Arans seem golden; Battle mages have as much HP as warriors yet they are Mages; Mages/Evans never had issues with Magic Guard; Wild hunters get a free 30% buff for being a Jaguar riding class; Dual Bladers get their fix with +HP blades and their supposed Puppet Image skill.

Also, I'd rather be able to take a hit without damage reducing buffs, because we can't always have a Paladin/Bishop/Aran coming with the party/raid on tough boss runs.

But our damage is way higher than it used to be...our main attack skill ignores w.def which like at most 2 other classes have. All those classes have all those things and we have the most ridiculous invincibility frames in the game. You're completely ignoring what buccaneers have in terms of defensive advantages...

I never said we NEEDED damage reducing buffs. I just said THEY EXIST...

Well, I think the invincible frames are nerfed a bit, although I have to agree with you, unless it gets lowered to the point where bucs are getting one shotted by touch damage.

Only for CSB. All the other frames are the same, and since barrage is spammable it doesn't matter if CSB doesn't give invincibility frames anymore.

I'm just not liking the fact I can't take as huge a hit as I can before given we're supposed to be in the monster's face, not staying in the back. I wanted more damage, but not at the cost of less HP. I'm willing to take a small nerf if it means my HP levels go back up to normal. It just...... feels weird to be nerfed in HP (the first ever known case as well).

Yeah, but that tradeoff has been public knowledge for as long as the game has existed. (higher damage for lower HP and vice versa) I'll take an HP nerf for all these sexy upgrades. It's not like we won't be able to take a BF hit anymore. Hell, we won't ever have to touch a BF anyway because we have demo all the time and barrage is spammable.

Ever wanted to RGTS? Now it's possible because of barrage.

Still, from watching that video, playing a marauder doesn't seem quite what I was hoping for in one. Watching the cool videos of Shikage on youtube(I think it was you, the one in time temple with that annoying dokan song and a few others) really inspired me to make a brawler, this new brawler that I see so far just looks like a typical DPSing class now. I might as well just make a warrior.
