Apparently item IDs were swapped. Or something. That's the most logical explanation I can find for this...NX items appear in the Trial version (note that the hair is gone, same goes for all my sister's characters...all their hair was obtained from the Amoria quest), and they appear as regular items in Global. Of course, I can't play any of these characters because they're on non-existing map data not accessible by the Trial client...

Nexon tried to make Maple Island appealing to newbies so they'd play MS, and they think that if people try MS with a "trial version", they'll get more players.

It's a monster from ThaiMS exclusive world tour area Siam.

ON TOPIC: You can't leave maple island in that version? That's sad...
Anythign else new in the trial version?

How is that sad? What's the point of adding all of Victoria Island if you can only kill a very small fraction of the monsters there at that level?

I just extracted it. "MaplestoryS" is a gimped version of 0.58. Nothing to see here folks. Move along.

Well, Islanders can stop complaining (no cash shop for items, no MTS, pretty much an Islander's paradise).

To log in you must use an account with a character on Maple Island.

I think Nexon screwed up with the guest login, though...it'll be BETTER for them to have it...

I'm going to test an islander on this, and see what happens. From what I've seen, there is no online connection except to download it, UNLESS you can meet up with other people already in game.

If it isn't connected to the internet, it would be easier to level up a islander wiht no people playing.

Here's what I found with it:

Ores are invisible(it shows the number, and you can hover over and see the name; just no picture)
Arrows are invisible

You are connected to the game, just like everyone else. You can even see smegas from offisland. However, iLikeOink smega'd in Yellonde. I tried to do /find ilikeOink, and it didn't say unable to find/iLikeOink is at ______. I did /find dddd, and it said unable to find dddd.

Any available quests that are offisland don't show up with this.

Shanks won't take you(as already shown).

I was hoping it would be its own game, not just a quick download to play the small area.

However, this does lead to another idea:

Could they perhaps make a "TrialMS", and then put all of the areas in seperate downloads. For example, until someone needed to go to El Nath, they wouldn't have to worry about downloading that specific area. Then they could just run patches to update any already downloaded ones, and people who use this could download the new areas when they are released.

Just a thought. Smile
