Which pet equip would be better for a Viper?

So, I recently got enough money to buy a Red Panda pet. These pets have special equips that give stats and inflict status effects. The only problem is, the one I have is stun and it doesn't reach max potential.

The equip says that at a 5% chance, I stun mobs for 1 second. At level 20, it'll increase to a 10% chance for 3 seconds. At level 30, it'll increase to a 15% chance for 5 seconds.

But at level 30, the stats it gives only goes up to +20 to all stats. If I were to upgrade the pet equip, I could get +30 to all stats at level 30, but I would lose the stun ability. That would be switched over to seal, darkness or slow.

So, which would be better? Seal/Darkness/Slow and +30 to all stats, or Stun at a 15% chance with +20 to all stats?

I would assume the stun equip would be better for a Viper for training (since bosses can't be stunned, obviously), but I wouldn't be able to get the max plus-stat out of it and well... training doesn't really need to be improved too much. xP

Are there chances for the slow/seal/darkness ? How do they work?

The upgraded pet equips (the +30 to all stat equips) are the ones that seal, darkness and slow. When you attack mobs, the status effects will happen to the mobs in front of you at a certain success rate and would last for a certain period of time.

I vote darkness. None of them are really that great, but the 20 stats is much more important anyway.

this is like the crit ring vs magic ring for buc/vipers. if you think about it, the only thing you got that doesn't stun is: 1st job skills, corkscrew, shockwave, energy drain, energy orb, dragon strike. If you think the 15% chnace is worth the shot (and if it stacks with the stun ring), then by all means you should go for it o_O

I tried upgrading the pet equip already, thanks to a donation from Dennis, but the thing failed. :X They cost quite a bit in the Free Market, so I don't know how soon I will be able to upgrade the equip. lol Until then, I'm going to work on getting the pet to a higher level.

Oh, my, god....+30 to all stats from a pet equip? This is in JMS right? We'll probably never get this if that is the case.

Buh... I just realized what happened when the 機会の証書 failed to upgrade my pet... It changed its status effect to freeze. Instead of stunning mobs, it now freezes mobs. Lmao Oh, well... I guess I'll try working on upgrading it at some point, then.

Darkness for the win. Nothing will die faster because of the stun, but things missing you let and right can actually speed things up.

Either Darkness or Seal, I believe. I think you should go for the +20 stats instead of the stun, because of bossing, mainly... well, I don't really know if you'd rather boss or train mostly, but the adventurer ring could replace the stun from the pet....which I just read you lost and got changed for freeze, lol.

I've tried the pet upgrade item a few times and it kept failing, but at least I've switched from Freeze to Stun. XD There's no guarantee which status effect I'll get if I upgrade.
