Lol @ the Hermits glitching BF :f7:
#81
Keep in mind that if you're attacking the BF and a GM is investigating in hide, they will probably assume that you're an accomplice and take action against you as well.

Remember the whole "if a hacker is on a map, report them and leave immediately; do not KS or loot them" thing? I don't see why this would look any different to a third person.

Poison doesn't have 100% accuracy. It's the same as any other skill. Summons used to hit 100% of the time & Three Snails, but they were nerfed. The problem isn't just that people are abusing the glitch, but they're letting others leech off of it. That just makes the problem grow and makes it a lot harder for the GMs to weed out all the benefiters.

It's not anymore legit than a hermit doing it because it's a BOSS and should not be poisonable OR webbable. 10m exp in 40 seconds (and trust me plenty of people have 4x to get this amount of exp) is not "right" and it's not how Nexon meant for the game to be played. >.>; By your logic, if HT and Zakum should be poisonable and it would be fair (Note: 40 second kills for each "monster" part).

Reminds me of the glitch in jMS(long time ago) People were able to shadow web the bodyguards. I remember someone got to 17x off it.

Hope it's fixed soon. Feels like a waste playing with this pomegranate running around.

Somebody got to 18x Tongue... well I think she was close enough.
I wonder if they really intended for it to be poisoned/webbed though... -refers to Prose's earlier comments-
I just think it's kinda ridiculous that they'd do that >_>

So is killing Bigfoot with Lucky 7/TT + Venom glitching also? That would suck.

Bigfoot takes me around 7-8 minutes to kill with an apple. Not even close to abusing the glitch.

..and anyone who thinks this is what Nexon intended for Bigfoot is incredibly retarded. Judging by the GM's smegaphone, we'll be seeing some players disappearing from the ranks in the days to come.

Glitching or not glitching?

This is what most people think of these days in Yellonde. People think that killing Bigfoot with the skill Shadow Web or Poison Mist is glitch abuse due to the fact that you're gaining 2 660 000 experience in 40 seconds. For most people, this is not an issue, as it is, in fact, hard to find a Bigfoot on all servers... but Yellonde. Since Yellonde is a new server, Bigfoots can be killed for good experience. Saying the first person to be able to kill a Bigfoot is more than 1 hour and 30 minutes in front of the next person being able to kill them, this person would be able to gain the rather low amount of 1106.56 million experience (2 660 000 * 2x card * 2x event * 8 maps * 13 channels). If this person managed to get this far on Monday, he would have doubled that amount of experience (I.e. 2.2 billion experience, all in 1 hour and 10 minutes).
So, what is 1.1 billion experience? It's the amount of experience you need to get from level 70 to level 129. This is relatively fast, considering you'll be able to get this in, estimating you're using 60 seconds per Bigfoot, 104 minutes. And yeah, I know that you will lose some amount of experience by starting from 70, but by the time you're 83 or so (read, 7 bigfoots, less than one channel), Bigfoot will gain you maximum experience.
So, is this the definition of glitching? No, not really. Obviously, assuming the game was (keep in mind, I do not confirm nor deny what it is) intended to be in this way, there's nothing wrong with this. It just sounds unfair, and, from a game designer's point of view, is unfair and makes the game unbalanced and not be fun for everyone. (No, this is not biased, this is fact. The general majority of players will say that having certain classes leveling 100 times faster than others will be unfair. It makes the game unbalanced (not saying that it wasn't), and it makes some people having less fun than others.)

Let's check the arguments for and against that Nexon intended to make this happen. Assume Against is against the use of poison mist/shadow web (let's say specifically the last part) and For has no issues with this.

Quote from NxProse
 Spoiler

For (killing BF with poison): His statement says that the bosses were intended to be poisonable.
Against (“glitching”): His statement is blurry, and doesn't really answer the question (or, more exact, sentence).
For: Last sentences says that the boss (it's called mob in the answer, but this is most likely just a phrase for monsters + bosses) was intended to be poisonable. If this way of doing it is not working properly, they will change the way the boss works, without any rollback nor banning of people taking advantage of this boss.
Against: Noone said that Shadow Web were intended to deal damage to this boss, besides, the reply were in plural, not in singular, as in “one boss”. Also, mob is usually a group of something, in this case, monsters.
For: Noone said that Shadow Web weren't.
[...]

Against shows picture of the information about Masteria:
 Spoiler
For: The picture doesn't display the boss. Nexon could have set the boss as another boss. Or, you could assume that they didn’t set it up as a boss because that would automatically make it immune to poison.
Against: That doesn’t make sense. It would be much easier for them to make pin it as a boss, make it weak to poison and neutral/physical damage resistant (yes, this is possible. Pink Bean), and buffing up the experience a little.
[…]

Against shows picture of TiaraYellond saying all glitchers will be banned:
 Spoiler
For: TiaraYellond is wrong, NxProse’s answer is right @@@
Against: No, it’s not. pineapple you, you make no sense1!=!!””!”
For: no u 2@22@@
[Drama]

So, funnily enough, noone’s right. With the right brainpower, you could say that bigfoot is a glitch. You could say it isn’t. We just have to wait for a response from Nexon STATING that the boss is either supposed to be like this or that the boss IS NOT supposed to be like this.

My input is this:
Nexon did not intend to make a level 77 player to use a skill (which is used for catching monsters, making them unable to move and is not supposed to deal damage. Or, for killing normal monsters, not bosses, in 40 seconds) to gain one fourth of the experience needed for levelling to 200 from 199 (we’ll see realistically on it, 500 mill/hr with 2x cards and no events going on). NxProse’s reply seems to be blurry, but he’s saying mobs as in plural groups of monsters, not a single monster. The picture for the Crimsonwood Expansion is saying that there’s a new boss coming out, whereas the only monster I can consider as a new boss is Bigfoot. Finally, TiaraYellond said that all glitchers will be banned.

This is just logic thinking, and I’d like to see a reasonable way of thinking the other way, that this is supposed to happen.

The fact that everyone at SP is able to have an intelligent conversation about the BF glitch...unlike SW who had to shut the damn forum down because of all the drama.

I think the glitch is the same as hacking- it has the same mentality: Taking Advantage of the game to benefit yourself and affect others.

The whole Presents-Eternity-Tiara drama...eh...at least we're not partaking in that...it gives me a headache. NEXON will probably have to patch it to change the glitch if it's still in effect...we can only wait and see.

Rankings ban, and a removal of all bosses and minibosses in CWK would put an end to this, until Nexon throws together a solution for this.

Rankings matter in every server, but for alot of people, it matters a TON on Yellonde, therefor making a rankings ban justifiable.

Just skim read through your post, although i'm not saying I disagree with most of what your saying, it just doesn't matter how logical or smart your post is. In ms people will stick with their friends in 95% of the issues regardless of what it is.

In this case, even if you do prove its a glitch its not gonna change anything. imo its pointless.

That's what I didn't. I said that it's not up to us to decide if it's a glitch or not, but Nexon's. Since we are not Nexon, and Nexon haven't set up an official statement, we can only assume if it is a glitch or not.

Then which monster is the new boss that came out with CWK?

my mistake, but the point I was trying to make still stands. Even if Nexon says its a glitch, the players will continue to abuse it without a care in the world until either a GM mass bans or they patch it up. We all know how good they are at doing either one of those. ex:opq/apple glitch

It's a monster and not a boss because Nexon clearly forgot to set the boss flag up on the data.

2.66m EXP is not normal for an average "monster".

It's funny how I haven't seen anyone except a few Mardians (who mostly happen to be from Eternity) speak up in favor of this manipulation.

Disclaimer: Not that I have anything against Mardians in general.
