When I was in Kindergarten and Pre-school, I think we had desks and just like .. bunched them all up together and put like newspaper or a soft mat / blanket on top of the desks. Then all of the kids would sleep on top of their desks around noon. Yeah, it was required that we sleep or something, this was a long time ago, I don't fully remember, but I do remember sleeping a lot in school when I was younger. It was either on the floor, on the desks, or at a corner.
