5th Anniversary Event: 12 hours of 2x EXP and Drop

Like i said, cyclical discussion. I will b'itch if i want to b'itch and you or anyone else doesn't have a lick of say in the matter. Whether i'm wrong or right, thankful or ungrateful, in doing so the fact that i will get over it does not change.

So, Nexon gives everybody a 2x event and the first thing a lot of you guys say is how bad Nexon is? Considering how anybody can get a family 2x buff I can't believe you are still comparing to the past.

Okay, lets give you all the 2x exp events you ever wanted, but how about Nexon remove mini dungeons, 20% reduced exp, family system and etc. I mean Maple is so easy that leveling my bishop at 19X now is equally as fast as training on my bowmaster (ranger at the time) at 12X pre 4th job. Spoiled much?

I can't get any rep because i don't have a family. I don't use mini dungeons because O4 > skeles. The abundance of 2x in this scenario would offset the lack of 20% reduced exp.

Would not complain if that happened.

Would have thanked them if they'd done 2x like every other year. It's all I EXPECTED (should've known better then to expect good things from Nexon. That's on me) from this patch. This doesn't even seem lazy or "thrown together". It feels like they thought that the poorly designed cake event and the worthless rings would make up for the lack of 2x events. But both of those events, while nice in addition, are just not good enough on their own. I would have been happy enough to tell people to stop complaining about this patch if they'd just done this right. But as of now, all we have is some poorly thought out events, an annoying PQ (hate PQ's anyway but that's me) and one day of 2x. Oh yeah, and a lot of lag. All of which could've been dust in the wind for even just a week of 2x.

They make so much money on 2x I don't even get why they would hesitate to drop the events. Almost everyone I've seen who hits 200 just goes and makes a new character. So it's not like leveling means they'll end up losing players.

Let's face it all this boils down to is you wanting more free EXP. That's it.

How about the fact that hundreds of people lost their accounts and I was forced to sit on mine 24/7 changing my password daily for which they still haven't acknowledged or apologized, or done anything to make up for. I definitely think we're all entitled, since they've done nothing to make up for the mess we were all affected by.

Poor you, having to resort to Oblivion 4. I guess buying 2x exp buffs is beyond your reach as well... Try Squids and Death Teddies, a ton of people told me they were the fastest exp around!

We've had one of those "incidents" every year, this isn't anything new, you of all people should know that.

Even so the 12 hours of EXP would still be considered a "gift"/apology (if that is what you seem to think it is), it's just not as big as a gift as you want.

At this point, I think people are just defending the event for the sake of argument.
Try and look at it from our point of view. It's kind of like what happened with E3 a couple of years ago.
For most years, E3 kept on getting bigger and better with each expo and even when it didn't you still knew good stuff was to come. But then that business summit pomegranate happened and the gaming community collectively face-palmed.
5th anniversary is like that business summit. No one feels entitled to a good gaming convention but after a while you sort of expect there to be booth babes, swag and large LCD TV's playing demos of upcoming games.
The 5th anniversary event is like E3 without the booth babes and swag.

Just like how reporters(who are sent to E3 for free) had a right to be mad at a crappy convention, Nexon users have a right to be mad at a pomegranaty event.

EDIT: It's like $600 for a non-pass ticket... I can see the right to be pissed there... not really for this since the game is (mostly) free2play.

How about the fact you had to agree to Nexon's Terms of Use? Nobody forced you to change your password daily as well (I certainly didn't).

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE, OR ANY PART THEREOF, IS TO STOP USING THE SERVICE.

I don't think any dentist would force you to have all your teeth removed. It's the dentist's recommendation, and just like quitting Maple, having your teeth removed is a personal decision.
