Cake vs. Pie Channel 2 Latency and Compensation

We have been experiencing high latency with channel 2 across all servers due the Cake vs. Pie mob summoning and we are working towards finding a resolution for this issue. Regrettably, Cake and Pie boss summoning events will be available on first-come, first-served basis in the meantime.

Nope, this is far more important than those stupid rings. This is an actual event that everyone should have access to, not just people who've stopped playing or have ancient mules, which is who the rings effect.

Cake vs Pie event is the most important part of this patch, it should absolutely take priority.

Why can't they just summon them in different channels? Also, why haven't they announced actual event 2x yet?

I think what Takebacker meant is that if they're going to have a 2x event, they should make it so those few people with rings can share it with their friends for 3.6x or even 7.2x. If those rings are all we get for "anniversary 2x" this year ("compensations" excepted), at least make them work as advertised, for the whole party.

Cake vs. Pie event must be fixed first, that is true. But the compensation for its idiocy can wait until more people are able to make the best of it.

@ Locked, I don't think it would have mattered which channel summoned the bosses. It'd be the same thing over and over unresolved @ carploads of lag and activity on one map. Of course, unless channel 2 is built to withstand loads of activity... which it isn't doing right now.

Channel 1 has tons of people in general. (remember the free market) Moving it to channel to cuts down lag by a LOT.

Which is why I don't care, because I'm still pretty active, thus I never got the 1.8x EXP ring.

I was hoping that they'd compensate with something event related, such as giving everyone an x number of insignias or something. Somehow, 2x exp is not surprising =/

They should just summon the dam cake on ch17 or something, ch2 is obviously used vigorously by ppl in fm >_>

Less fail, more reading please. They said that they're looking into fixing it. But while they do at, they're at least trying to make up their fail to us by giving us a bit of a bonus 2x. They are by no means just tossing 2x at the problem. They have openly acknowledge this issue (at the least) and are supposedly looking for a fix.

Though when I think about it....2x server-wide exp = even MORE people logged in...which = even MORE serverload? B> Logic for Nexon.

In that case his argument doesn't make sense. Nexon isn't throwing 2x at general lag. Nexon is providing compensation specifically for the ch 2 issue that affected people's gameplay. In this specific case, it'd be more correct to say that nexon isn't doing anything at all about general lag, or perhaps that they'll be addressing that at the same time as the ch 2 stuff.

If he's arguing about something NOT related to the announcement nexon made.... he shouldn't be complaining about compensation given in THAT announcement.

But anyways. I personally enjoyed the 2x event b/c it got me from 110-116. But it would also be nice to be able to participate in the event... Even with a slightly above average cpu I froze up in channel two the moment I tried to join the event and got unfrozen like 5 minutes later after the event ended.. so I haven't tried again after the first 3 times :/. Though I do want the chair.. looks like its impossible for me so I'm probably just going to level. Which makes the rings replacing 2x events pretty depressing because in Galicia even if you have a 3 month old account, if you didn't create a character in Galicia 3 months ago you can't get the ring.. so basically almost no one has the ring in Galicia.
