CAKE VS PIE. Take your side!

I wanted Pie. My Paladin gets Cake. Ironically, most of my other characters are Pie. >_>

Cheesecake aint pie for heavens sake. It might not be cake either, but it's closer to that.

Well, according to Merriam Webster online, Cheesecake is neither a pie or cake. Cheesecake: a dessert consisting of a creamy filling usually containing cheese baked in a pastry or pressed-crumb shell. Notice how it doesn't say cake or pie. So, from your logic of it (cheesecake) being essentially closer to either cake or pie, we can deduce that it is indeed a pie.

Cake: a breadlike food made from a dough or batter that is usually fried or baked in small flat shapes and is often unleavened.

Pie: a dessert consisting of a filling (as of fruit or custard) in a pastry shell or topped with pastry or both.

Now, tell me, is cheesecake bread-like? No.Does it consist of a filling (the cheesecake part itself)? Yes. Is it in a pastry shell? No, but the graham crust of some cheesecakes can be considered a pastry crust. Therefore, Cheesecake = Pie. Unless you're going to refute the definition of a dictionary...
