A word that's overused so much it's lost it's meaning. People kiss each other once and tell each other they're in love the next day. The definition differs from person to person, but when a word is used so often it becomes dull.

I've only said it to 'two' people in the past in which I felt that I had a deep connection to. I still do love both of them, though we went our seperate ways. The 1st ex, I no longer talk to and cut off ties. The 2nd one, still talks to me as if we're bf/gf, though we're just close friends. I helped to build her resume too.

Even if you don't overuse the word, because everyone else does, it has less meaning for the other person to hear it. Unless they think the same way, they'd assume you already love them if you're going out with them, so hearing you say it isn't too much of a big deal. ...Oh, I almost forgot this was the funhouse for a second.
