Did anyone test the 3rd mastery skills with doing MG first? I want to see how it plays out when you max Lightning last - as to whether or not it works.

It worked for me. MG is great since you can use sorcs for 1:1 efficiency, while lightning bolt is really slow and single target.

The address and zip code that generates don't match, so you have to Google Map the zip code to find a matching address.

I submitted a ticket about it. 8D Don't expect that much from them though.

What I wrote :

To whom it may concern,

I was enjoying this new job you brought out called the Evan. I had been reading up on them and anticipating there arrival ever since they had been announced to come out in March.

After training til level 23, I began to search for a few guides to help with the skills I should raise first and learned that the Mastery books for the 3rd Mastery and up skills, are unavailable in game. This disheartened me and I no longer felt like playing this fun new class.

Maybe it was an easily overlooked error. I was looking forward to questing for my skills, much like with the Aran job and discovering that these skills can only be bought and not earned ruined my hope of creating an Evan.

What Magician can survive with only level 5 Magic Guard?

Plausible or is it crap? Blah well eh lets see what is said..

Edit:.. It's not an offence to post a quote from sleepy is it? :f6:

I originally said that the books were earn-able in-game as that was the information given to me. From reading all the current discussions about the books through my own forums and fansites, I went to find more information.

The current mastery books in the Cash Shop are only available in the Cash Shop. In the near future, those books will be available through other methods. With that said, other mastery books are available in-game through rare boss drops.

Official.

Also, to note, they acknowledge the skill point bug as well.

-Hime- Wrote:Attention Evans,

Please be aware that we have identified a bug affecting the Evan Cash Shop mastery books for the Magic Guard, Magic Booster, and Critical Magic skills. If you do not use up your Skill Points before your next growth, you will not be able to go back and put your remaining Skill Points into one of the aforementioned skills even with the purchase of the mastery books.

We are working on a resolution for this issue and hope to implement it in the next server maintenance.

Thank you,

How far can you get without someone giving a retarded anwser? Not even the very next post apparently.

To give a decent anwser.

Realistically, you can get to late *2nd* job to early 3rd jobish (somewhere between 65-80 I'd guess depending on your chosen training areas) before magic guard is really needed to survive.

Once again Hime proves they have no idea what they're talking about. Ever.

lol @ Nexon only fixing the method that involves NX. I guess Magic Guard and other mastery books won't drop until May at least, meanwhile they'll force hyped people to get NX. Then slap them in the face by doing something like "oh, remember the thing you paid 2k NX for? now it's free!"

If you had NX you'd rather buy the Magic Guard book than AP resets.

Why is everyone so stressed out about this? After the Glasses event, I'm pretty sure they'll implement the mastery books. And if someone is actually really serious about their Evan, they can simply spend 20mill or 2 dollars.

That's a total sum of 60m or 6 Dollars on top of everything else you already have to pay for. If it were a rare boss drop, I could compensate for all that with my patience and time.

ya 6 dollers JUST to level your char properly!!!! ZOMG!!!! it's the end of the world eh? and its not like most people who are even half serious about leveling their chars are going to be using nx to do so anyways so.. i dont see a major problem in this really.

(p.s. read my sig since aparentally u cant post those kinda threads now)

Considering nx is a rare event for me typically, I would rather spend it on something else, than skills that should be available in game to begin with. I gave up on my Evan and don't care for it anymore.. the fun died when I couldn't get Magic Guard past 5, and then dying 6 times from hackers at cold eyes >_> and then dcing in cpq..

I don't like using 2x.. it's so easy to burn through nx with it, and even I can't grind for 4 hours straight anymore.. I get bored after 30 mins..

Maybe it isn't a big deal to people who can constantly crap cash out there arses or go yank it off the money tree but not everyone is blessed with money... >_> I'm tired of being told it's not a big deal.

Prices to live get raised and yet wages don't go up..

You seem to have missed the "on top of everything else". I have a 2 page list of things to do with NX if I ever get any, why should I spend 6k hardly-ever-earned NX on something that should be available for free (or for exchange of hard work, which I have plenty of) when I have thousands other things to cater for that cannot be acquired with any other methods?

Yeah, I would pay 6 dollars to level my char properly IF I COULD (within reasonable boundaries). NX cards/Paypal/Surveys are all out of my reach. Buying NX with 60m mesos is not implausible, but illegal. And since I consider something like leeching illegal, I definitely won't go there.
