Can Hypnotize replace Ice shot?
#1
At max lvl 100% hit rate and lasts for 20+ seconds. Seems like it could be a better diversion than re-freezing monsters every couple of sec's. As long as its something with a long range M. ATT.

It only targets one monster though.

Well for one thing, you can't attack hypnotized monsters, so no it probably wouldn't be the best idea.

lol, no.

1. It targets one monster (as mentioned)
2. It has a minimum range
3. It can only be active on one monster at a time
4. Monsters don't do much damage to each other
5. Waste of important SP

EDIT: And what Takebacker ninja'd me with, too.

Hypnotize is the most useless skill in the entire Corsair book. There's no reason to ever put more than 1 point in it, even at level 200.

You forgot the fact that you can't even use it while on the ship.

I thought it was useful for BF and HH?

In theory it could be helpful at BF if it was maxed out but thats still 20 SP's that u would have to divert away from something else. Then again if someone had it maxed for the 1st map of the New Neo city, THAT could be something to watch..

Hypnotize works just like Disorder, meaning when you hit it, the monster becomes un-aggro'd. Then one of two things happen

- If it's an auto aggro monster, if you step in it's range again, it will chase you again

- If it's a regular monster, it won't become aggro'd until you attack it

For the latter, this does not guarantee BF will stay away. It will either keep going after you, turn around, or just stop. Really what it's doing is acting like nothing ever attacked it, so what happens next is completely random.
