I can't help but feel as if they translated it as "OH YEAAAAAH" just for the Cool-Aid reference. In the original, he shouts 「どりゃあ!」 which doesn't really have a direct translation (or none that I can think of anyway).

For things like that, they shoiuld have just stuck to the translation that the fans were used to. I know it was translated over from scratch, but catch phrases should remain intact, especially since it wasn't really a mistranslation.

Other than that, I don't think I spotted anything with the translation that caught my eye as of yet.

The translators knew that CS fans would revolt the moment they saw this, they deliberatly skipped around the question for months on the Nicalis forum not anwsering because they knew it would piss people off. Why they took this knowledge and failed to use common sense and leave it as Huzzah is beyond me.

Yeah, Curly talks in her mode, unlike Quote. So I found her story a bit fun to play through just to see how she reacts to certain parts.

Well, it's not like she talks that much, but still more than Quote (obviously).


By the way, Balrog doesn't say "OH YEAAAAAAH" as much as he was saying "Huzzah!"

I said before I didn't spot much wrong with their translated, but that's comparing it to a fan translation. For an "official" translation, it does seem a bit odd. I managed to spot some typos and lines that just seemed a little out of place. Overall I'd prefer the translation by Aeon Genesis better.

There's an option on the main menu that drops you directly into hell. Very strange to put this into the game. I can see this being a feature that you unlock after playing through Hell, but I don't know why they'd give it to you at the start.


Boss mode is awesome though.



Edit - Forgot to mention. I was hoping to find Quote's boxers in the same spot you find Curly's panties while playing as Curly. Instead, you just find your own panties...in Quote's room, I guess.
