The Ultimate Ribgol - Legitimacy Report
#1
With so many dupes, and as such, accusations that exist nowadays, legitimacy of a perfect item is a strict process. I honestly see no other way to prove innocence other than creating a thread devoted to a perfect item and it's creation.

I have recently obtained a perfect clean Stonetooth sword: 108 attack, 9 slots. I will be white scrolling this item with 10% scrolls to ensure that one day it will become a 153 attack, 27 strength Stonetooth. In no way is this meant to be a show-off or gloating thread, only to prove the innocence of this item. I don't want all my hard work to be utilized as fallacious accusations.

This will be a long process, very long. I don't plan on finishing it anytime soon, nor do I plan to rush it. Dark scrolls will not be used at all, I don't plan on destroying this item. I will be posting pictures of each white scroll I buy (along with the price), and each stage of the sword. The sword will be name-tagged with my name for further legitimacy reasons. Also, if you want you can let me know of any white scrolls for sale, PM'ing me or whispering me in game is fine.

Expenditure list :
108 Stonetooth..................... 161k NX.
White Scroll (1) *success*...... 290 million mesos.
White Scroll (1) *failure*......... 250 million mesos.
White Scroll (1) *success*....... 385 million mesos.
White Scroll (1) *failure*.......... 370 million mesos.
White Scroll (1) *success*........ 400 million mesos.
-50% 2H Sword for Atk............ 363 million mesos.
Total : 161k NX + 2.058 billion mesos. (roughly 3.346 billion mesos converted)

Not to rain on your parade. But wouldn't the real "Ultimate Rigbol" be Chaos Scrolled and come out to 141 attack and 33 STR? Rolleyes

Don't get me wrong though, I do admire your project. Good luck on it.

Nope, it would still turn out the same. Chaos scrolls potentially add 5 to one stat, 3 to another, and 1 to a final stat. That still turns out to be a 141/21 Ribgol.

With no needs of 'haxorz' accusations and whatnot, some comments and words of support :
Wow, 950M on the sword alone? I can barely manage 950Mesos =/.
Other than that, good luck.

Good luck with that. For some reason 21 STR stonetooths and 21 INT doomsdays are like eye-candy for me. ^__^

I like them both. Make your tooth like that 21 INT doomsday. :p

Chaos scrolls have a 60% chance of working. 40% of blowing up.
It adds or subtracts an integer of 1-5 to every stat if it works.
It affects every stat if it works.
So you can have a chaos scroll that adds +5 to all stats.

Glad to clear this up.

Ahh, thanks man. Seems I was mistaken, I apologize. I've never seen a chaos scroll in action before. =P But in those regards, I'll make the Ultimate-by-anything considered-close-to-practical Ribgol. F3

I remember the one time I ever saw white scrolls, they were up for a bil! (Tongue) But a few days later, they sold! (pineappleing merchants! Hothead)

Good luck with your long term goal. Also, you shouldn't give a crap about duped items and people using them. What matters most is how you feel about your items.

Thanks man, and I wish I could just go my own route, but I've had friend's unable to enter Zakum runs and Horntail runs because of speculated accusations. That being said, obviously there's no way I can know if the White scrolls I buy are going to be duped or not. However, as long as I pay a decent price, my inability to discover the item's origin shouldn't be integral.

Hopefully this works out for you in the way you've intended, Steele. The major hitch here is that, in the case of Zakum/Horntail runs, it's all dependent on the ignorance of a third party. Just as easily as you're cataloging the scrolling of this magnificent weapon, some will inevitably turn to be neigh-sayers.

All the same, it's fitting for an honorable guy such as yourself to do something like this, and I wish you the best. n_n

Good Luck man Big Grin But to keep people from nagging you about it later, just don't tell anyone the stats. Just say "I'd rather not say". If you don't know them that is xD

A prime example of taking Maple Story far too seriously. If you scroll it legitimately, and you know you did, that's all that matters. If people are so full of themselves to think that they would know your item better than you do, I don't know why you would even want to be involved with them or their Zakum/HT runs.

Exactly.

..and, why the pineapple does it matter what other people think? :]

I always find this question to be fundamentally wrong Tongue It's asking for other peoples opinions.

Since you're not from Bera, it's difficult to understand. But in bera if someone hacks, dupes, has ties with dupes / hackers then they are immediately extricated from almost all of the honest cliques of Bera. A prime example is one of my friends who obtained a 13x Ribgol for 2.1bil, all he gets is crap about how the item was hacked and how he paid too little for it. No proof or anything truly incriminating was even present. He's been almost completely subjugated from the rest of the communuty. I'm just doing this for legitimacy, I'm sorry if it's taking it too seriously for you, I'm just trying to protect myself from false accusation.

Do it. One of my old guild members, lovigi, has a stonetooth. I don't know the states. Ask him for it.
