When did Anime embarrass you in a public place?

For me, it was while watching some Naruto Shippuuden,



It was a nice sunny day, so I decided to pay a visit to my local public library. I found an open pc and brought up some Naruto to watch.

It was a fairly early episode, around the time that they 1st meet Sai.
I saw the whole thing....... and then the credits started rolling.

As I watch these go by, a close up of Sai appears with a fluffy pink background. To my horror he is laying down and the camera is slowly scrolling to the other end of his body with his bare belly exposed.

I quickly notice that the eyes of all the people nearby have gravitated to my screen. I can only imagine wat sorts of movies that they thought I might have been watching.

Needless to say, I can never show my face in there again...

When my computer was down for a month last year, I watched some anime in the college library. I felt much worse about streaming it than what people may think about me. Feels good not being ashamed of my interests.

Some guy was like "hey do you watch anime?" and I couldn't keep a straight face.


I shouldn't feel bad though cause GTO is basically awesome.

You realize that its a good day to go outside, so you sit in a building and watch bad anime?

Why would you even go to the library to watch your Anime? Unless you don't have a computer, I don't see why anybody would do this. The library is for reading and studying...

Personally, I'd be so embarrassed if anybody saw me watching any Anime. Not that I watch them often, nor would I ever do this in public because I believe that the general notion of Anime is that they are just cartoons... and cartoons are meant for children. I also find it embarrassing to watch Anime because I am not a Japanese person, although this is something I developed while growing up. I didn't really care back then that I loved watching Pokemon, Sailor Moon, etc.

I joined the army so I could pilot a mobile suit. After basic training, I asked my commanding officer when we'd be trained to pilot them. He broke three of my ribs. Boy, was there ever egg on my face!

Never embarrassed. Everyone in my group of friends watches anime, they're not retards though. Some of them aren't all hardcore, and most of them only watches Gundam stuff. If it's not Gundam or Evangelion, they won't bother watching it. Public areas, uh, especially in classes, if I'm bored in class, I tend to just stream anime and watch it. Some of the kids next to me, and behind me usually lurks and watches it along with me. -shrug-

I'm sure of how embarrassing it might be if someone catches me watching anime since I only watch pornographic anime. I'll never watch it in a a public place though, that's for sure.
