The only time I've ever seen one was during a omok game event. Other than that, I don't know wth they've done so far. Why won't nexon just pay real GM's to do their job? Oh wait-

One of their rules requires them to remain invisible.

They're not going to be allowed to be more visible until after they've all been introduced and the Maplers are accustomed to the idea of them, and most of them have doubts about it changing even then.

They're there to be spies for the real staff though, so why would you ever see one?

I imagine it would prove to have a better disciplinary effect to leave an active police group on the surface, with the ability of invisibility for appropriate purposes.

Considering the average response of a speeding person to passing a police officer is to slow down temporarily, not actually stop speeding, how would making them visible all the time be a more effective means of controlling abuse rather than just tell the abusers where not to be at any given moment?

Never knowing when/how/where you got caught or are being watched is far more effective as crowd control.

The fact that they do appear on the surface on a regular basis proves their activity, which will enhance the sense of security. As for actual working, do it undercovers as suggested, it's arguably better than chasing stray dogs around the district corners. Forcing the group to stay hidden at all times can give off a misinterpretation when it comes to their activity because of the role model predecessors: GMs.

That's why they're "introducing" them. So you know they're there.
You don't need to see them wandering around all day being followed by mapletards asking them how to become mwlb/gms/gimme stuff.

I'm guessing if a member of MWLB files a report about a player, it probably would be looked into. What I'm looking for is some sort of response from them in-game, not just on their website.

Especially through those dumb/offensive smegas, if they would smega something indicating a report was filed, I'd feel more reassured.

tl;dr @ story. At least we know there's more MWLB people out there lul.

Eh... being undercover is a double-edged sword. Sure, you can never tell if MWLB is present in that sense, but nor will people who break the rules. And MWLB's job is being the eyes and ears of the GMs to search out these exact people. If MWLB decides to reveal themselves in-game, yeah it could give reassurance and possibly deter people from trying to break the rules, but having an active presence could hamper their abilities to catch hackers, scammers, and the like.
