Well, I wouldn't mind this maintenance if it actually helps. Know it's really angering a lot of people. Anyway, besides that, people are reporting they've gotten a rollback from around 3 days ago, or really just hope the Nexon rankings aren't updated... So what's going on for the people that were able to log in before this?

Those rollbacks are caused from all the duping going on in windia atm.

I like spontaneity as much as the next person, but "while we've got the servers down, how about we make a few more changes, no idea how long they'll take" is just a wee bit unprofessional.
Bring the bloody login servers up already, and then plan your next downtime carefully and announce it ahead of time.

That's assuming, of course, that they haven't pineappled up the login servers beyond repair.

Completely different situations. De-activated email addresses can be regained completely with no hassle.

People with emails they don't use any longer are not Nexon's responsibility. However Nexon is obligated to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to see this information, and if they don't send out at least an email to the specified address of each account then they can be held responsible for any monetary loss. Frankly, 30 days isn't enough notice. I would say 2 months notice would be adequate in removing all liability from their end. A lot can happen in 30 days that people can't control. Not everyone can access maple that often.

They were fixing the log ins and screwed up, so now they extended it. The only part that makes me pissed is that anyone who was already playing the game is able to keep playing.

You may think 30 days is sufficient, but it's not. There has been no prior notice to this effect. There has been no public statement about it. There has been no contact made in regards to it. There is a notice that only people who actively play will see.

If the phone company is going to cut off your access, the will send you three letters reminding you before actually taking action. The same goes for any major company, as such. There is no disclaimer when you sign up saying "inactive accounts will be deleted after 30 days."

They have no right to do this, as it is.

Since today.

When I tried to log onto the Nexon forums, they told me I should change my password every 30 days or so, and then asked me to imput a new password. I hit back, and now it won't let me try to log in anyway.

11 accounts all giving the "Trouble logging in?, try the website which we currently have offline", I can log onto a mule account I made in the past 2 weeks. One of my characters also isnt asking for a PIC either, its just taking me straight into the game. Hope they deem this worthy of a very very quick fix..

Don't worry, it only sends out the email in case you didn't request the pass to be changed so you can have it reset. Sorry if I worded that poorly.
It sends it out so you can check the email to have the pass reset after you change it; You don't have to open/confirm anything in the email. I didn't have access to one of my mule's emails, but I still got on it.
