Please, hack my account

GjokezPb/Cassilicious were hacked an hour ago, 50b gone. Rumors of another 'database breach' are being discussed right now. However I'm second hand source, can't clarify or provide evidence.

Those are two seperate chars\accounts\people but yes I would believe they amassed that type of wealth.

I am very sorry that Cassie got hacked, but from what I understand she shared her info with people. As far as there being a PIC on her account, I can attest that there is one. I saw Cassilicious in FM last night, therefore the account had a PIC already in place.

The reason I do not think this is one of the random incidents in the late wave of hackings is because these hackings were NOT random. From what I understand the two people were connected to each other. The hackings lately have been on random accounts, and some accounts targeted had like 1.5 mil on them.

I can almost assure you that the GjokezPb and Cassilicious hackings were not from a "database breach". Yes, Cassie shared info; Unbeknown to her, apparently Ed had a keylogger on his computer. And Cass forgot to change her pw after her account was logged on in Ed's possession. A few days later, after not changing her password, her account was compromised. This was what I've been told. It's a sad predicament.

or still is a security breach but PICs are more heavily encrypted and/or stored somewhere outside of the existing breach.

this doesn't explain the fact i got hacked when my computer was clean, i never shared my info, and hadn't logged on for 3 weeks when i got hacked on the day of patch v82. o_O so idk what is going on still

I guess they were waiting for the brief window of opportunity to hack you when NEXON did away with the PIN system.

i'm guessing there WAS a security breach which allowed hackers to obtain many players' info wihch i think is solved now maybe? there doesnt seem to have been any mysterious hakcings recently.

Due to my extraction and having to update Maplestory to do so, I was not able to check for the past few days if my account has been hacked. This is especially true with the recent public PIC exploit. I'll check my account once the patch is complete.

I don't think we should be saying anything about it verbally. It could put all of our accounts in danger. Knowing about it won't keep you safe.

Somewhat unrelated story, but..

My main MS account had been registered to an email called (lets say, for example) "PhoenixWright@hotmail.com" Since 2006. Afterwards, I stopped using that email, made a new one, and lost the password to "PhoenixWright@hotmail.com".

Years later, early 2010, I want to do a PIC reset on my account. I can't log onto "PhoenixWright@hotmail.com" because I forgot the password. Then I tried to create "PhoenixWright@hotmail.com", which resulted in a success. I then reset my PIC..and it worked.

Or in other words, my MS account, was, for the longest time, registered to an email account that didn't even exist. Anyone who accessed my account via username and password could have had my account easily if they had bothered enough to try that.

Therefore, theoretically, a clever and nefarious person could gain access to an account with an inactive hotmail address just by knowing the username, password, and the name of the email. Seems like a pretty big hole to me. O.o

EDIT: This is a true story, but the email address I used is one different than the one in the example. >_>

Honestly I would of thought your account was guaranteed to be able to be reactivated only by yourself no matter how long it's been inactive.

So basically, you want to keep you mules and alts email accounts active.
