Balrog mount: do absolutely want.

If the mounts expire they're not worth it.

If they don't, then I might actually participate this round just for the mounts. Disregard the fact that I don't even own a mount...using float while mounting Balrog/Broom seems like a pretty cool idea.

I second Spidey and other like comments. I'm on the verge of quitting, but if it only takes 30k points to get mounts that don't expire (or at the very least it's easy to get 30k points for mounts that last a decent amount of time), then this event might be worth it.

So, the first time this event happened, I had the actual time to win using a pineappleing ARCHER. And when I start working, and no longer have the time..they make ANOTHER event? With BETTER prizes? RAGE MODE ACTIVATED

Really? Balrog and Broomstick mounts for just 30K points? Sounds like they're not going to be permanent.

Artifact Hunt II is simple--just pick up Mysterious Artifacts from monsters and gather 5,000 excavation points. When you do, you’ll receive the regular Archeologist Hat and Archeologist Glasses. If you’re one of the top 10 archeologists by 5 PM Sunday Pacific time during the duration of the event, then your hat or glasses become permanent hat!

- Higher stats for the regular Archeologist Hat and Archeologist Glasses!

This seems to say that the REGULAR Archeologist crap will have higher stats (the stuff that expires) however, there is no mention of any change to the stats of the permanent crap.

for the people that have already done this event before, how long would it take a non-arch mage/bishop to get 30,000 points?

I feel sorry for those people who think these mounts wont expire.

Interesting addition of black crystals and diamonds. Though i don't see why diamonds. They're pretty cheap as is.

Does the Balrog count as a mount or a mount cover?

I wasn't here for the last artifact hunt. What it is about again?

As if the mounts won't expire. Still better than last time at least. People may hate it but I still think it's one of the better pick up crap a monster drops event. At least there is a little more to it.
