I've been wondering, what exactly is the level range for doing Neo Tokyo Quests?
Up to fighting the fail-Auf Haven or w/e.

The only thing this does is favor mid levels, make their own creation (CWK) less useful by adding training spots (good or bad), and screw over the high level community again.

The only high level area we have to look forward to now is ulu city (which sucks ass as far as training and bossing goes from what i see) and any sort of masteria expansion they have up their asses. Since masteria isn't even confirmed much less a high level area from it, WE HAVE NOTHING EXCEPT TEMPLE OF TIME. >_____________________>

Do you really think Nexon Korea is unable to make custom content that fits with the vibe of this area? That's ridiculous. Of course they can expand on it with JMS doing anything.

Wasn't there a version getting Neo Tokyo and Neo City? *clings to last hope lol*

That was MapleSEA, and they just got untranslated content, so i doubt they will have both, It would also screw up the storyline

No i don't doubt their ability. Do i doubt their drive? F'uck yeah i do. What reason do they have for wasting money expanding on this idea? It's clearly a horrible idea, and i'd be willing to bet they did not and will not make enough money to justify continuing (yeah, i'm taking a play from your book sarah Biggrin ).

Neo tokyo on the other hand would have made them a truckload more cash. You should agree with that at least. Invigorating the high level community with TONS of fun s'hit to do is an awesome reason to go with neo tokyo over neo city. Does it matter if an extremely low % of people will use the place? Not when literally every single one of them PAYS NEXON'S BILLS.

Doubt their drive to expand on the limitless potential of a post-apocalyptic maple world? I don't at all. There's so much that they could add that could potentially be better (both in terms of access and balance) than what Neo Tokyo offers. If I were a Nexon writer I would be pitching so many ideas for Terra Forest expansions that faces would melt, and I'd be hard pressed to believe that at least one of their writers is just as interested in the idea as I am. The fact that it's accessible through Leafre alone gives me hope that it will eventually be expanded upon as a high level area. It wasn't just shoved into the back corner of Ellinia or something like it could have been.

The money they could have made would only be made from idiots buying AP resets. Nexon Korea isn't really a branch that shakes down their players as much as Nexon America does, and that's why it was of little concern to them. There's very little they can do with any area that is going to invigorate people to SPEND SPEND SPEND. I know that if I were given the JMS Neo Tokyo pre-requesites for getting in, then I would never go. Both of their options are completely retarded. It would've been way to risky to make an area that is only accessible through MONTHS OF HARD WORK or paying real money for no real pay off like Neo Tokyo provides.

You're letting your feelings about how cool you think Neo Tokyo would be get in the way of obvious objectivity. Nexon Korea doesn't want to keep creating areas that only small portions of players can experience without being frustrated to hell. Even if the areas aren't the best, at least they're still usable. Neo Tokyo is horribly unbalanced and difficult to use, especially for archers. That wouldn't be a fair update, especially if they are considering expanding it. That would just create more areas that are inaccessible to the ranged.

This sucks as an argument. Go figure why we GMSers complain about CWK getting butchered. Neo Tokyo was intended as a parallel storyline to MapleStory. As somewhat part of World Tour, you can expect GMS to remove WT soon to follow blindly what KMS is doing. Which is, in the end, utter crap. [/color]

Why are some of you guys so angry?

Sounds like a cool patch to me. Time Travel sounds pretty awesome.

At least we get something new instead of shitty events!
#34
Hms, will the new equipments still be obtainable (such as that Fast 4 sword)?

Kevo Wrote:Hms, will the new equipments still be obtainable (such as that Fast 4 sword)?

No. Neo City's highest boss is level 85, so you won't be seeing any cool equipment you can use.

No, again, this is ridiculous. Adding content =/= removal of content. Just because Zip was tied to Neo Tokyo in JMS doesn't mean that the existance of Neo City should cause Zip to removed. There is no correlation and you wouldn't even think such a silly thing if you didn't know Zip was tied to it in JMS. There is absolutely no reason for them to remove World Tour, and no real reason to think that they would.

And as far as Masteria goes: I fully expect it to be butchered by Nexon Korea in time. I don't know how Nexon America will deal with it, but I do know that when your own versions content gets raped like Neo City, you have a right to be mad. But you don't have a right to expect something that you were never guaranteed to get and you definitely don't have a right to get mad about us not getting it in the case of Neo Tokyo. There was never any evidence that it would come our way; only people hanging on to delusions of what they really want.

Parralel storyline or not, it's not something that was ever a necessity for maple story, just like Masteria isn't. In the end, what comes from KMS is all that really matters.

That's nice and i agree with you, but that doesn't really change the fact that they are not only more interested in creating new classes but at the same time are uninterested in expanding this s'hit town. Regardless of the "potential" it has.

If only they realized that you DON'T need to spend s'hit loads of money to survive the place. No one cares that there isn't even any decent training spots. The main attraction is obviously the BOSSES. The only problem is that the bosses all have some form of attack (touch or otherwise) that can "OHKO MOST CHARACTERS OH GOD". I GOT AN IDEA LET'S THROW ALL STRATEGY OUT THE WINDOW AND NOT FIND A WAY TO AVOID IT. Don't have the skill to avoid it? Yeah sure, spend money on something people are INCLINED to do in the first place! Does that give nexon any reason to finally have morals and say "NO WE SHOULDN'T FORCE KIDS TO SPEND MONEY ON OUR COMPANY" when doing that PISSES OFF EVERYONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY USE THE AREA?

BombsAway Wrote:You're letting your feelings about how cool you think Neo Tokyo would be get in the way of obvious objectivity.

You're right, but that doesn't calm me down. Also, that isn't the reason i want neo tokyo at all. I couldn't care less about how "HOLY S'HIT BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF ROBOTS IN A FUTURISTIC TOWN? SOUNDS BADASS." it is.

Ranged classes navigate neo tokyo JUST FINE.

If neo tokyo never existed but one day KMS launched Neo City you guys would love it.
So just pretend that Neo Tokyo never existed.
#39
Now I just remembered, Neo city has:

Red slimes
iRobots

So that means, that we have past monsters on a New area, not to ,mention that these monsters have monster cards, It may not be a problem, but we must remember its Nexon America we are talking about

*Waits for patchto be extended 10 hours*
