[1.2.286] A new legend appears

Anyone have a link to the source of these animations.....I can't see them on SP for whatever reason, just like 80% of images, so that would be appreciated

No, I saw. You're still not understanding me. I said the entire thing is pretty moronic. Every other skill was cool, besides that one. Come on, a soccer ball. Stuff like that should be more-so for joke-events or April's fools, would have made more sense then, and it'd be funny. I saw the entire skill animation before I posted anything. There was 3 pictures:
a) Ball rolling
b) Exploding after-effect
c) Ball exploding

So technically, it IS an exploding soccerball.

That's why it has a shell look and pineappleing lights coming out through holes, right?

Fake or not, the animations look very cool. I hope the "real" ones will look something alike, or even more cooler =D

Time to put the cynical hat on, and wait for all the awesome Shadower updates to be mooted by this class which will, again, be superior in visual and skill aspects. And I notice they still have no concept of m.att and w.att balance.

Maplestory has finally done it, dual wielding. As cliche and annoying as it is, I am gasming over this job already and I don't know anything about it.


Btw, do you guys remember when pirates came out in GMS it had a story that showed the pirate legendary hero that fought to stop the black mages disciples from sinking their island? Well mainly it was a foreshadowed story from an old man, but that could possibly be the pirate hero, no? I wonder what this thief has in his storyline.

Testonen, Kyrins dad?

There was some quest, I forget what it was, where you go learning about Kyrin's father. She was still a baby. Testonen, the first pirate, so strong he fights with his bare hands, decides to go after the Black Magician and his disciples. He asks Athena Pierce to watch his daughter. Testonen never comes back. Kyrin becomes a pirate and goes to look for him in her Nautilus. Comes back and docks. I'm unsure if Kyrin is looking for the Black Mage and his disciples or her father. I know there was a quest for this information ingame, it's not coming to mind.

I think the quest you're talking about is the one where you find Kyrin's letter to Athena in a trash can, with you delivering it to Athena, and Athena explaining everything and giving you one of Kyrin's first inventions to take back to Kyrin. Unfortunately, I also don't remember what the quest said about what Kyrin was doing while she was away from Victoria Island.

On the subject of this legend, I would guess that the legend is probably going to lack defensive skills such as Dark Sight and all meso-related skills, including Meso Guard. In return, they'll probably get something like a party version of Fake, or maybe a party skill like SE that increases base damage instead of crit chance and crit damage (although it'd make more sense for the legendary Archer to have the latter type of skill). The legend's also likely to have a lot less invincibility frames associated with his attacks.

i can see them using the combo system
