So... How do I use controllers with Maple? =T
#1
So. I have both XBOX 360 and PS3 controllers.. and I dont want to waste money getting another controller for my laptop... Any way to adapt either one of them?

My XBOX controllers are wireless.. so that should be out of question.. so how would I connect my PS3 controller to my laptop?

Any programs and tips would be helpful. Thanks. =3

Look into SixaxisDriver and JoyToKey. You can use SixaxisDriver for your PS3 Controller, but you'd need something else for your XBox controller. The SixaxisDriver allows you to use your PS3 controller on your computer, and JoyToKey assigns each of your buttons with a key on your keyboard.
For your PS3 controller, use the USB cable that it comes with.

If you need help, or have questions, just ask.

I think it costs as much as a controller though.

As far as I know, the PS3 Controller uses USB connectivity, so just plug it in to the USB port. If it's USB Mini, you'll need a USB Mini -> USB adapter, which costs at or less than $20.

So... After I get my computer to recognize my PS3 controller, all I need to do is to download Joy2Key so I can assign keys to my PS3 controller? :o

yes, make sure you run it as an administrator. Test the keys in a text editor.

If you're going to play an Aran I strongly recommend you use "Xpadder" and not joy2key, since joy2key won't let you use any key combinations, also Xpadder has other function like Turbo, which works really good with attack (you hold instead of tap for attacks)

Actually, with joy2key, you can set it so you have repitition of attacks, I can press my "attack" button on controller once and it will automatically do a triple swing for my Aran (if you have the automatic repeat key thinger..). So dont think i'll need the Xpadder. =P thanks for the suggestion though

.... Having no trouble with triggering the combo attacks? When I started using controller, I got joy2key but I couldn't do smash/drain/combat step (by tapping side key). It didn't let me use like two arrows in a row to make the combinations, so I got Xpadder to fix it.
