Joy2Key PS3 Help
#1
I've been wanting to use my PS3 controller for Combat Aarms, and so I decided to hook up my controller to the computer.

I found libusb (a driver for the PS3 controller) and I'm using that along with Joy2Key. I know which buttons = which, but I can't seem to get it to recognize the right joystick. I tried a second tab on the JoyToKey map (which says "Joystick 2"), but that didn't seem to work.
Has anyone had experience with this before that can help?

I should've mentioned that I tried that as well, couldn't get any of it to work, let alone recognize my controller. I tried it with both USB and wireless.

Go to Others.
Check off Use Axes other than X and Y.

If it's anything like my controller,
Left Joystick: Movement
AxisX(<0) = A
AxisX(>0) = D
AxisY(<0) = W
AxisY(>0) = S

Right Joystick: Panning
Axis3(<0) = Mouse: Horizontal(-#)
Axis3(>0) = Mouse: Horizontal(#)
Axis6(<0) = Mouse: Vertical(-#)
Axis6(>0) = Mouse: Vertical(#)

I can't remember if CA used the Arrow Keys to pan too, you could stick those in there instead of Mouse Movements.

The box is checked off, unless you want me to check it on.

Ooh yay, turning it on worked. Thanks Joe~
Now I don't have to download this other crap. XD

Edit: Errr. Now it doesn't recognize the arrow keys.

Slider is your D-Pad.
Slider1(<0) is Up
Slider1(>0) is Down
Slider2(<0) is Left
Slider2(>0) is right

I have them all set to 5, 6, 7, and 8 respectively, but when I hit them on my controller, nothing happens.

My bad. Go to Others. Check Use POV switches. I'm fairly sure the PS3 Controller doesn't have a POV switch, but it should be POV1:[DIRECTION] to set the D-Pad.

A POV Switch is the button that lets you swap your D-Pad with your Joystick on your controller.

Thank you Joe!

Finally got everything working fine. <3
