Any recent hacked accounts from Southperry users?

By the way, in case this wasn't obvious, if you're worried about your account, go change your password now. If someone else is still able to access your account after that, that just means everyone is at risk then.

Wow! This hacking epidemic is horrible... I really hope this crap doesn't come to JMS.. >_> JapanMS is the first version I've never been hacked in (knock on wood) and I hope that doesn't change. It almost sounds like hackers lately are trying to bring an end to Maple itself, with pretty much fucking over MapleSEA, hacking shit tons of people in GMS, and whatnot. I'm glad all we have in JMS so far is just vac hackers who never loot their drops.

This is bad lol. Even though this has been going on, I didn't really pay much attention until a really good friend of mine was hacked just an hour or so ago. I really hope Nexon adressess this.

I wonder if they're somehow bypassing login info then, or something deep. It seems most to all get hacked while offline.

Also, anyone notice how broken the hacker's english are?

Someone on Sleepy said that there's a hacker forum where a hacker claimed to have login, pw, and pin for 25,000 accounts. (I don't know how credible that is - why believe someone who is a professed cheater is telling the truth?)

Hacker apparently bought gatcha tickets with my maple points that they never bothered to use, and the time stamp is 11:39am. I was at work, so the account had been logged out for at least 4 hours at the point of occurrence. Since I don't get back until 6pm, my attempts to log in did not intrupt with their process.

I think we can conclude there are 2 types of hacking going on:
1) MSN hack - they break into your e-mail, change pw, you lose everything. This is a very malicious hacking (drops all untradeables and sometimes delete characters and change info on e-mail).
2) Random (for lack of a better description): these are in a hurry (everything that cannot sell for more than a mil fast is untouched - untradeables left alone unless valuable and karma-able), they take most mesos and nx, sometimes leaving odd amounts of meso, sometimes they change pin & sometimes they don't bother. I think this one is being done by the meso sellers - all they care for is fast meso / nx that they can sell for $$$.

Preventative measures:
I changed all my pw's and now I leave a character (low lvl nib) logged in 24/7 on each of my main accounts.

Oh and Nexon gave me their standard reply for having my account broken info. (Dont' share your info and ... yeah, don't give it out nexon kthxbai)

I have never shared my info, and all of my info is different than any other character or account on websites I ever used.

I lost my attack belt, but they left me my MoN, my Master Adventurer Medal, my Mouse Kit, my Archeologist's glasses, my Lilin's ring, and my spare 2 att 6 speed belt, and my 5 acc Balrog shoe.

They also left my Untradable Moon and Star Chair, so I'm glad about that. I've reset my pass and everything, and will attempt to rebuild.

I doubt resetting will help. My friend's 187 NL was hacked a few days ago, he tried to rebuild using funds he stored on another account. They logged into his acc again just a few hours ago. He doesn't have anything left now.

If he has changed his pass in the last few days, and still got hacked, that means changing my pass's probably won't help.
