I responded to the one in the first post about prisoners in which only one has a HAT.

If first 2 person doesn't have hats, then 3rd person will say "I have a hat"
if first person doesn't have a hat, and 3rd person haven't said "I have a hat" after a while then 2nd person will say "I have a hat"
if neither 2nd or 3rd person say "I have a hat" then the first person will say "I have a hat" after a long while.

What if the first AND the second persons have hats? It said "at least", didn't restrict the number of hats.

You do realize that in that case, the 2nd person can't deduct what he did, right?

stumping you is hard, lets try this

You have a barrel of oil, and you need to measure out just one gallon. How do you do this if you only have a three-gallon container and a five-gallon container?



If your sock drawer has 6 dotted socks, 4 brown socks, 8 white socks, 12 black socks, and 2 tan socks, how many socks would you have to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair?

Let's add some simple ones

1.- There's three boxes tagged with "Blue balls" "Red balls" and "Green balls", they tell you that the 3 are tagged wrongly, you have to tag them correctly, but you can only open one box. How do you tag them?
2.- The King of a reign has a challenge for whoever wants to marry his daulghter. He has 3 chests, gold, silver and lead. One of them has a portrait of the princess, if the person who wants to marry her finds the right chest, he will be allowed, if he misses, he's killed.
Each chest has a phrase written on it.
The gold chest says "The Silver chest doesn't have the portrait
The silver chest says "The portrait isn't here"
The Lead chest says "The portrait is here"
The princess, to help his lover, tells him that at least one of the chests has the truth and at least one is a lie. How does he pick the correct one?

Fill the 3 gallon one, the pour it into the 5 gallon container, then fill the 3 gallon container again, pour it into the 5 gallon container until it's full, what's left in the 3 gallon container is 1 gallon
