So, some random person friend requested me on MSN. Seeing as I couldn't message them to find out who they were without adding them, I accepted them. This conversation then took place, before they went offline.

See, that's what I'd think, but... He has a screen name (kelevra84) that shows results for users on other sites when I searched it on google. That doesn't necessarily mean that it's the same person, but it's not such a normal name, you know?
